 Family Summary:

The Nanny Joynt is delighted to present a wonderful job opportunity for an experienced and professional nanny. If you are a loving and experienced nanny seeking a long-term commitment, this role may be perfect for you. Their sweet daughter is 21 months old and is just so much fun! She loves to be busy and enjoys doing new things each day. This family is searching for a nanny who will engage their daughter in activities in and out of the house that further her development physically, intellectually, and emotionally. Someone who takes the initiative to plan activities ahead of time and notify parents of materials or items needed. They are happy to order or purchase anything you need to create super fun activities.

Preferred activities would include:

  • Outdoor playtime – taking her to a park nearby or in the backyard as weather permits.
  • Socialization – arranging play dates with other children or simply taking her to activities that would have other kids around.
  • Story time – taking her to the local library for weekly story time and creating an engaging story time at home with puppets or props to make it more interactive.
  • Sensory play – setting up sensory bins with materials like rice, beans, or water for open-ended play.
  • Art and crafts – putting together art projects with age-appropriate materials and using The Nanny Joynt Curriculum that is sent out each month.

Their daughter is just happy to be in the world. She loves to read and has an amazing vocabulary for a 21-month-old. She can speak in full sentences and has no problem telling you what she wants. When a stranger comes over she is so excited to say “HI” and get to know you. However, when she goes out to events with strangers she is a little more shy and reserved.

Their ideal candidate will have prior professional experience with toddlers (specifically potty training). You should have patience and empathy and be an “intellectual” who values reading and the acquisition of knowledge. They want their nanny to be physically fit enough to run around and keep up with a toddler each day. It’s also very important that you are reliable and dependable and have a safety-conscious attitude. Both parents work from home and would like to be able to check in with their nanny during the day as long as it is not disruptive to them. They do have plans to purchase a new home within the next year but they are looking in the same area where they currently live. They would likely not move more than 10 miles away from their current location (the current home they are looking at is less than a mile from their current home).

This position is offering $25-$28 per hour DOE with guaranteed hours, paid vacation time, paid sick time, paid holidays and use of a family car for transporting their daughter.
