Infant Nanny for a Warm, Work-From-Home Family in Chandler

Location: Ray Rd and Mcqueen Rd, Chandler
Start Date: ASAP
Reference Code: TNJFT2016
Term: Long-Term
Required: Tdap and MMR vaccinations

Are you the nanny who knows that a quiet morning is not an empty one?

Do you believe a baby learns more from one thoughtful hour on the floor than from a day of constant stimulation? Are you the kind of caregiver who reads the room, follows the child, and doesn’t feel the need to fill every silence?

If you’ve been looking for a calm home, a steady morning schedule, and a family who has genuinely thought about how they want their daughter raised, keep reading.

The Nanny Joynt is partnering with a wonderful Chandler family in search of their first professional nanny. They are looking for a seasoned, grounded career nanny who loves the infant stage and brings real knowledge of child development, not just years on a resume. They are hoping to find a true partner in caring for their daughter—someone who notices the little things, shares thoughtful observations, and feels comfortable offering recommendations when appropriate.

About the Family

Children

One sweet baby girl, approximately 9 months old at the start of the position.

  • Calm, happy, and endlessly playful. She wakes up ready to explore.
  • Raised intentionally in a calm, low-stimulation environment.
  • She plays beautifully with a small, rotating collection of developmentally appropriate toys in her play space between the living room and kitchen.
  • Completely screen-free. No television, tablets, phones, or smartwatches around her by anyone.
  • Currently contact napping. A meaningful part of this role is gently helping her transition to crib naps through patience, consistency, and time spent in the nursery without rushing the process.

Parents

  • Both parents work from home full-time from a dedicated home office used exclusively for work.
  • Family time is the center of their home. They cook together, go on walks together, and genuinely enjoy spending time together. They hope to find a nanny who becomes a trusted part of that rhythm.
  • This is their first time employing a nanny. They are thoughtful, warm, and truly want to get it right.
  • They value calm above almost everything and are looking for someone who communicates openly, shares observations honestly, and feels comfortable offering ideas when appropriate.

Pets

One friendly mini Goldendoodle who absolutely adores the baby.
Minimal pet care. Occasional walks with the baby are appreciated, but no routine pet care is expected

30 Guaranteed Hours Per Week

Expect up to two months of travel per year, spread throughout the year rather than all at once, primarily to New Jersey and occasionally to Prescott.

All travel expenses, including flights and lodging, are covered. In addition to regular pay for all hours worked, the nanny will receive a $50-$100 overnight/travel stipend for each overnight while traveling with the family.

Occasional overnight care at home (approximately twice per year) may also be requested when one parent travels for work.

What You’ll Be Doing

Childcare

Childcare is the entire heart of this role.

The morning belongs to the baby, and any light household support happens only when she is settled.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing loving, attentive, unhurried care while maintaining her feeding and nap routines.
  • Prioritizing safety at every stage, including safe sleep practices and sound judgment as she becomes increasingly mobile.
  • Patiently working toward successful crib naps with consistency and plenty of time in the nursery.
  • Washing and sanitizing bottles, feeding supplies, and the high chair.
  • Providing engaged, completely screen-free care through calm, developmentally focused play, including books, colors, numbers, sensory experiences, and neighborhood walks.
  • Bringing thoughtful ideas. This family values a nanny who can say, “Here’s something we could try, and here’s why.”
  • Sharing warm, clear updates on naps, feedings, milestones, and daily activities.

Household Support

The home is already beautifully maintained, so household responsibilities are genuinely light and always secondary to childcare.

Responsibilities include:

  • Wiping down kitchen counters
  • Light meal prep, such as chopping vegetables for family dinners
  • Resetting and organizing the baby’s play spaces
  • Occasional baby laundry

The Ideal Candidate

  • Career nanny with 5+ years of professional experience and outstanding, verifiable references
  • Extensive hands-on infant experience
  • CPR and First Aid Certified
  • Calm energy. This is the single most important quality. This family thrives on a quiet, gentle household rhythm. A loud, high-energy caregiving style, while wonderful for some families, simply isn’t the right fit here.
  • Deep understanding of infant development. Formal education or continued professional learning is a significant plus. This family genuinely wants to learn from your experience.
  • Warm, patient, emotionally intelligent, and respectful of babies as capable little people.
  • Open-minded and collaborative. Strong opinions delivered as absolutes won’t land well. Thoughtful recommendations backed by reasoning absolutely will.
  • Excellent communicator who naturally keeps parents informed.
  • Highly reliable and consistent. Both parents have demanding careers, and dependability is incredibly important.
  • Comfortable working alongside parents who work from home. They are present but respectful and truly want their nanny to take ownership of the day with confidence.
  • Open to occasional travel and overnight care.
  • Looking for a long-term home with one family, not a temporary position.

What Makes This Role Stand Out

  • A rare part-time schedule with guaranteed hours and genuine flexibility in how the week is structured.
  • Free afternoons every single day.
  • Thoughtful, intentional parents who have already put tremendous care into how they want to raise their daughter.
  • One sweet baby, one calm home, and the opportunity to truly focus on what you do best.
  • Parents who genuinely value your knowledge and want to hear your ideas.
  • A screen-free, developmentally focused environment where your work is appreciated and respected.
  • Meaningful travel opportunities with flights and lodging covered.
  • Guaranteed pay even during family travel, with only light, reasonable responsibilities when they travel without you.

If this sounds like you…

If you love the infant stage, believe in slow mornings and meaningful play, know the why behind your work, and want to become a trusted part of a thoughtful family’s everyday life while keeping your afternoons free, we’d love to hear from you.
