The Nanny Joynt is partnering with a warm, highly organized family in Scottsdale who are looking for a weekend nanny/household manager to join their established care team. This is a returning family who already works with a wonderful nanny Monday through Thursday, and they are now looking for the right person to take the weekends.

They are hoping to find someone who is genuinely Type A, who finishes what they start, and who can move between caring for their baby boy and managing the household without losing the thread on either. This is a long-term role with a family who values professionalism and genuinely appreciates the people who help them in their home and with their baby. 

About the Family

The Child

Infant Son, Currently 10 months old

• Sweet, on a structured routine with set wake windows, bottles, and naps
• Does best when his day follows a predictable rhythm
• Has allergies the family manages closely, which means a consistent sanitizing routine for his sleep space, gear, and toys, along with a daily supplement schedule
• The family will train fully on all of it. What matters most is someone who takes it seriously and keeps his spaces clean without needing reminders

The Parents

Both parents are in and out of the home throughout the day. They are looking for someone who is comfortable working independently and equally comfortable with parents present and involved.

They are warm, organized, and communicative, and they run clear household systems with written task lists. They are looking for someone who can take that direction and execute it consistently and independently.

The Pets

This is a very pet-forward home with four Yorkies and four cats, all treated as part of the family. Pet care is a genuine part of this role, and the family is looking for someone who will love them like their own. Overnight pet sitting will be a key part of this role as the family does travel.

Position Details

Schedule

• 30 guaranteed hours per week minimum, however the family is very open to guaranteeing 40 if that is preferred
• Friday, Saturday, Sunday: 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Two paths to 40 hours: longer days across Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, or a fourth 10-hour shift on Monday or Thursday, staggered around the weekday nanny’s hours.

The family is currently transitioning the baby to a later wake window. If that holds, hours may shift to approximately 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

Travel & Overnights

• Overnight pet sitting in the home is required when the family travels
• The weekday nanny is the primary travel nanny, so travel with the family is not a core expectation. Occasional travel would be welcome but is not required at this time. 
• Additional hours and compensation applies for overnights

Additional Coverage

The family is looking for someone with genuine weekday availability to step in and cover if the weekday nanny is ever out. Candidates already working a full Monday through Thursday schedule elsewhere will not be a fit.

Compensation & Benefits

• $42/hour, with room above that for an exceptional candidate
• W-2 Household Employee
• 30 to 40 guaranteed hours
• Separate compensation for overnight pet sitting 
• Paid vacation, paid sick time, paid holidays, health stipend, mileage

What You’ll Be Doing

This is a true mix of nanny and household manager. The baby is always the priority, while the household side keeps a busy, well-run home in order.

Childcare Responsibilities

• Sole-charge care of the baby across 10-hour days
• Hold his established routine including wake windows, bottles, naps, and bedtime sequence
• Follow his daily supplement and allergy protocol as directed
• Engage him with age-appropriate play and developmental support
• Maintain a consistent rhythm with the weekday nanny so he experiences the same structure all week
• Communicate clearly with the parents throughout the day

Household Management

• Run a regular sanitizing rotation for the baby’s sleep space, play equipment, gear, and toys
• Carry the household’s monthly and rotating tasks, such as laundering pet bedding, when time allows
• Follow the family’s daily task system covering opening and closing routines, laundry, restocking, and tidying by zone
• Step fully into the weekday nanny’s household role if she is ever out
• There is a very structured daily, weekly and monthly task list to follow 

The weekend list is lighter than the weekday list, but the family needs someone with real household management experience behind them.

Pet Care

• Daily feeding, water, and bowl maintenance
• Potty breaks, yard pickup, and litter box care
• Monthly bathing and laundering of pet items
• Overnight pet sitting in the home during family travel

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

• An experienced career nanny with real household management experience, not entry level
• Over the top organized. A Type A personality is genuinely key here
• Systems-driven, with checklists, routines, and follow-through coming naturally
• Someone who finishes what they start. Open tasks left mid-stream will not work in this home
• A strong multitasker who can move between childcare and household work without dropping either
• Calm and capable around a medical need, and willing to learn alongside the family
• Comfortable working solo and comfortable with parents home and involved
• A true animal lover, at ease in a busy home with eight pets
• Flexible and able to adapt as the family’s needs evolve
• A strong communicator who works well as part of a two-nanny team
• Current in CPR and First Aid, and comfortable with Epi-Pen administration
• Fully committed to weekends, long term
• A safe, reliable driver with a clean driving record
