The Nanny Joynt is thrilled to partner once again with a warm, professional returning family in Paradise Valley. Both parents are attorneys with demanding careers and are looking for an experienced nanny/household manager who can confidently care for their two gifted children while helping keep everyday life organized and running smoothly. 

They’re hoping to find someone who naturally takes initiative, communicates well, follows through, and genuinely enjoys becoming a long-term part of the family. Someone who can jump from school pick-up to homework, activities, errands, dinner prep, and laundry without missing a beat—and who truly loves what they do! 

About the Family 

The Children 

11-Year-Old Son 

  • Bright, gifted, and very literal with a wonderful sense of humor 
  • Starting middle school this August, making this an exciting season of transition ● Loves baseball and basketball 

7-Year-Old Daughter 

  • Bright, gifted, creative, independent, and wonderfully spunky 
  • Starting second grade at a new school this fall 
  • Loves gymnastics, dance, arts and crafts, karaoke, and imaginative play

The Parents 

Both parents have demanding professional careers and primarily work from home, each from their own private office. They occasionally travel for work, but most days you’ll be working alongside them as they manage busy schedules and meetings. 

They are warm, appreciative, highly communicative parents who truly view their nanny as an extension of their family. 

Position Details 

Schedule 

40 guaranteed hours per week 

Monday-Friday, 12:00 PM-7:00 PM, plus 5 flexible hours each week 

The additional five hours provide flexibility for the occasional later evening when both parents are traveling or have work commitments. These hours will always be communicated well in advance. 

Travel & Overnights 

  • No regular travel required 
  • Rare overnight care only if both parents are away at the same time (anticipated just a few times per year) 
  • Advance notice will always be provided and additional compensation will apply Additional Hours 

Optional weekend hours, such as an occasional Saturday evening, may be available for candidates interested in earning additional income but are never required. 

Compensation & Benefits 

  • $30+/hour DOE 
  • W-2 Household Employee 
  • 40 Guaranteed Hours
  • Paid Vacation 
  • Paid Sick Time (the family strongly encourages sick nannies to stay home) ● Paid Holidays 
  • Additional paid time off around the Jewish holidays when the family is traveling or spending time together 
  • Family vehicle provided for transporting the children and running errands 

What You’ll Be Doing 

This is a true hybrid role, with approximately 60% childcare and 40% household management. 

The children are always the priority, while the household responsibilities focus on helping busy working parents stay organized and keeping daily life running smoothly. 

Childcare Responsibilities 

  • Pick up the children from school and transport them to activities and appointments using the family vehicle 
  • Help oversee homework and school projects 
  • Keep afternoons organized by planning ahead with snacks, activities, and smooth transitions between commitments 
  • Engage the children through active, creative play including sports, crafts, games, and imaginative activities 
  • Provide loving but consistent guidance and maintain appropriate boundaries ● Prepare simple dinners for the children 
  • Assist with showers and evening routines 
  • Maintain consistent routines and communicate clearly with the parents throughout the day 

Household Support 

  • Family laundry 
  • Grocery shopping, Costco runs, Target pickups, dry cleaning, returns, and other household errands 
  • Monitor household supplies and proactively communicate when items need replenishing ● Prepare simple, kid-friendly meals Monday through Thursday while thoughtfully maintaining the family’s kosher kitchen (the family is happy to teach)
  • Keep the children’s spaces and shared living areas tidy and organized (professional cleaners handle deep cleaning every two weeks) 
  • Help maintain the family vehicle by scheduling car washes, fueling, and routine service appointments as needed 
  • Utilize the family’s household manual, shared Google calendars, school portals, and household systems to keep everything running smoothly 

The Ideal Candidate 

We’re looking for someone who is: 

  • An experienced career nanny/household manager with at least 5 years of professional experience 
  • Warm, nurturing, and genuinely enjoys working with school-age children ● Confident enough to hold boundaries while maintaining a positive relationship with the children 
  • Highly organized with exceptional follow-through and communication ● Proactive, efficient, and naturally notices what needs to be done 
  • Enjoys staying busy and takes initiative without needing constant direction ● Energetic, playful, and able to keep up with two active kids 
  • Comfortable working alongside parents who work from home 
  • Excited to learn and maintain a kosher kitchen 
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable using shared calendars, group texts, and email ● A safe, reliable driver with a clean driving record 
  • Looking for a true long-term position where they can grow with one wonderful family
