The Nanny Joynt is partnering with a warm, thoughtful family in Surprise to find a full-time nanny for their two young sons. Mom has been the boys’ primary caregiver since the baby arrived and is preparing to step back as she begins an online degree program. Dad starts a new job at the end of August. What they are hoping to find is an experienced nanny who can take real ownership of the boys’ day, so they can focus on work and school knowing the boys are happy and well cared for.

This is a child-focused role with light household expectations. The family is realistic that caring for a busy toddler and a five-month-old at the same time is a full day on its own. What they offer in return is trust, an openness to your ideas, and real appreciation for the experience you bring. About the Family

The Children

Two sweet little boys, ages two years and five months.

Their toddler:

• Curious and affectionate with a love for vehicles, music, and active play
• Enjoys plenty of interaction and is also happy playing independently
• Currently transitioning with naps and napping approximately every other day

Their baby:

• Social, smiley, and loves interaction and changes of scenery
• Formula-fed and currently taking four to five naps per day
• Sleeps in his crib and is working on gentle sleep training for daytime naps
• Will begin solids in the coming months, and the family is open to their nanny’s experience and guidance

The Parents

A warm, laid-back couple ready to trust their nanny to take the lead.

• Mom has been home with the boys and plans to begin an online degree program, potentially in January
• Dad starts a new hybrid position at the end of August and will work from home two days per week
• Both parents may be in and out of the home but want their nanny to confidently remain in charge
• They value experience, initiative, open communication, and a nanny who brings her own ideas and strategies

Position Details

Schedule

Monday–Friday:
8:30 AM–4:30 PM

Guaranteed Hours:
40 hours per week

The family has flexibility with the start and end time. 8:00 AM–4:00 PM or 9:00 AM–5:00 PM could also work well depending on the nanny’s preference. If you have a preferred start time within that window, say so when you apply.

Travel & Overnights

No travel or overnights are currently required. Optional travel could potentially come up in the future but is not an expectation.

Compensation & Benefits

$32-$35 per hour DOE

Benefits include:

• 40 guaranteed hours each week
• W-2 employment
• Paid vacation
• Paid sick time
• Paid holidays
• Mileage reimbursement at the current IRS rate

Childcare Responsibilities

Childcare is the heart of this role, with a nanny who can confidently manage both boys and take ownership of their day.

• Providing attentive, nurturing care for both boys
• Planning age-appropriate play, activities, walks, and outings
• Managing bottles, naps, feeding routines, and the eventual introduction of solids
• Confidently juggling the boys’ different schedules and needs
• Supporting the toddler with loving boundaries and calm, consistent care
• Providing parents with a general recap at the end of the day

The nanny will use their own reliable vehicle for outings with the children. The family will provide car seats and reimburse mileage at the current IRS rate.

Child-Related Household Support

Household responsibilities are intentionally light and always secondary to the children.

• Washing and preparing bottles
• Cleaning up after meals, snacks, and activities
• Resetting toys and keeping the children’s spaces tidy
• Loading or unloading the dishwasher when time allows

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have strong professional experience caring for an infant and toddler at the same time
• Be confident and autonomous, able to run the day without frequent direction from Mom or Dad
• Bring strong infant experience with bottles, naps, developmental milestones, and introducing solids
• Be warm, calm, engaging, and comfortable keeping up with two active little ones
• Take initiative, communicate openly, and be comfortable with parents occasionally working from or being in the home
