The Nanny Joynt is thrilled to partner with a warm, professional family relocating to Scottsdale from Washington and seeking a high-level Nanny / House Manager Hybrid to help support their transition into Arizona life.
This family has had an incredible long-term nanny who became “part of their family,” and they are hoping to find someone with that same grounded, trustworthy, long-term mindset here in Arizona.
About the Family:
Child:
- One bright, social, and active 5-year-old daughter
- Starting school in August and transitioning into a new environment, new routines, and a new city
- Loves engagement, connection, and thrives with calm, confident caregivers
Parents:
- Two highly professional, respectful parents who both work from home and travel frequently for work, so overnights are a must.
- Relocating to Arizona for the quality of life and intentionally building long-term support systems
- Value communication, flexibility, professionalism, and strong relationships with their caregivers
Home Environment:
- Warm, organized, and collaborative household
- Located in the Kierland/North Scottsdale area currently
- Household support is a meaningful part of the role while the child is in school
Position Details:
Schedule:
- 35 hours/week guaranteed
- Likely schedule structure around 10am–5pm or 11am–6pm with flexibility to come early or stay late when needed
- Additional flexibility required for:
- Parent travel
- School breaks
- Sick days
- Occasional schedule shifts
- Overnights and travel support
Travel Required: Potential, 1 week to 1 month at a time. Very flexible
Overnights: Yes — compensated separately
- Family relocates August 1st
- Current nanny will assist with transition during the first two weeks, so their new nanny will have the opportunity to meet her as well
- Child starts school August 18th
- Official nanny start date targeted for August 24th
- Paid transition/working interview opportunities will be available before the official start
Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly Rate: $32–$35/hour DOE
- Guaranteed Hours 35 hours per week
- W2 Position
- Paid Vacation, Sick Time, and Holidays
- Additional overnight compensation is provided during travel/work trips

Childcare Responsibilities:
- School pickup and after-school care
- Engaging, developmentally appropriate activities and outings
- Supporting emotional regulation, routines, and transitions
- Encouraging creativity, confidence, and independence
- Managing school schedules, activity coordination, and transportation
- Supporting their child during school breaks, holidays, and travel periods
Household Management Responsibilities:
- Household organization and tidying
- Managing family routines and keeping the home flowing smoothly
- Grocery runs, errands, returns, and general household support
- Meal prep for the family
- Laundry for the family
- Organizational projects and general upkeep of the home
- Inventory management and stocking household essentials
- Calendar coordination and helping parents stay organized during travel periods
- Helping create a calm, well-run environment overall
