The Nanny Joynt is thrilled to partner with a warm, busy, dual-working family seeking a reliable, proactive Nanny/Household Assistant to support their two young children and help keep daily life running smoothly during an exciting career transition.

This is a perfect role for a part-time professional who enjoys a blend of childcare, household support, and being a steady, dependable presence in a family’s day-to-day rhythm.

About the Family

Children:

  • 4-year-old: energetic, curious, and loves learning (in full-time preschool)
  • 11-month-old: sweet, playful, learning to walk (in daycare)

Both children are in full-time care during the day—your role typically begins when their day winds down. You will be picking the children up from school each day and spending the afternoon with them until their parents arrive home. Flexibility to drop the children off at school in the mornings would be appreciated, however, not required. 

Parents:

  • Dual-working household navigating a new work schedule and commute
  • Focused on maintaining consistency and routine for their children

Home Environment:

  • Organized, structured, and appreciative
  • Pet-friendly (2 dogs)

Position Details

Schedule:

  • Monday–Friday
  • Approximately 1:00-2:00pm–6:00/7:00pm
  • 20–25 hours per week (flexible up to 25 hours for the right candidate)
  • If you are flexible to drop the children off at school in the mornings, that would be amazing, but not required.
  • Flexibility to pick up the children early or spend a whole day with them if needed would also be ideal.

  • Afternoon-focused schedule – some mornings would be helpful on occasion

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly Rate: $28–$32/hour DOE
  • Guaranteed Hours 20-25 per week
  • W2 Position
  • Paid Sick Time (AZ compliant)
  • Paid Vacation & Holidays
  • Paid mileage, tracked with a log – Driving the children in your car is required

What Your Days Will Look Like

This role is all about creating a smooth, stress-free transition from school/daycare to home.

You’ll step in before pickup, get a head start on the home, then bring the children into a calm, organized environment.

Responsibilities

Childcare

  • Daycare and preschool pick-up
  • After-school care: snacks, play, light activities
  • Occasional outings (park, walks, etc.)
  • Managing and scheduling (or reminding parents) of Dr appts for the children
  • Managing calendar for the children, parties, school pictures, etc. 
  • Supporting a calm and consistent routine

Household Support

  • Family laundry, washing, drying, putting away
  • Making beds daily
  • Scheduling appts with landscapers and other vendors, managing their schedules, and meeting with them when they will be in the home
  • Keeping the pantry organized, tossing items that are expired, and keeping lists of what the family needs
  • Kitchen reset (dishes, counters, general tidying)
  • Light cleaning and organizing of the home
  • Vacuuming, wiping surfaces, putting things away, and making sure things are tidy and organized each day. 
  • Running errands (grocery pickup, dry cleaning, etc.)
  • General household upkeep to keep things flowing

Pet Support

  • Light care for two friendly and active dogs – they do have a 3rd older dog who only needs to be let in and out on occasion
  • Walking, feeding, letting in/out as needed – MUST be pet friendly

The Ideal Candidate

  • Reliable, consistent, and punctual (this is the #1 priority)
  • Proactive and able to work independently is a requirement of this position
  • Comfortable in a hybrid nanny/household assistant role
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Warm, engaging, and great with young children
  • Flexible and solution-oriented
  • Comfortable with pets
  • Fluent in English

Bonus (Not Required):

  • Familiarity with Filipino culture or Tagalog language
