You’ve been doing this long enough to know childcare isn’t just a job, it’s something you chose and take pride in. What You’ll Be Doing

Childcare (Your Primary Focus)

Your job is to be fully present, engaged, and intentional with the toddler throughout the day.

  • Lead age-appropriate play, creative activities, arts and crafts, and outdoor exploration
  • Encourage curiosity, independence, and learning through play
  • Follow and support existing routines and daily structure
  • Plan and lead outings as trust is established — parks, the zoo, splash pads, indoor summer activities
  • Support potty training as that phase begins
  • Stay phone-free and fully attentive during care hours

Newborn Support (Secondary, Beginning May 2026)

  • For the first 30 days after the birth, the parents will be closely involved with the newborn — your focus stays with the toddler
  • As things settle, you may occasionally care for both children when the parent steps out briefly
  • Newborn experience is required: bottle feeding, soothing, general comfort

Household Support

Household tasks are completed during nap time or independent play

  • Prepare simple meals and snacks during care hours
  • Clean up after meals and activities
  • Child and baby laundry
  • Monitor and flag when household supplies are running low
  • Assist with pre-ordered grocery pickup occasionally
  • Follow the family’s shared notes system for simple, specific tasks

Pets

The home has 3 cats and 1 dog. You must be comfortable in a pet-friendly home and not allergic to cats. Letting the dog out as needed is part of the day.

You’re the Right Fit If:

  • Toddler care is something you genuinely love!
  • You bring high energy and creativity to the children, then shift to a calm, unobtrusive presence when a parent is nearby
  • You take initiative — you see what needs to happen, and you do it, without being asked
  • You communicate proactively, keep a tidy space, and follow through on details
  • You’re comfortable supporting both a toddler and, eventually, a newborn in the same home

What This Role Offers

  • A happy, verbal, curious toddler who will keep you on your toes in the best way
  • A family that values kindness, creativity, clear communication, and professionalism
  • A structured home with clear expectations and genuine appreciation
  • Guaranteed hours, consistent schedule, and W2 employment
  • The chance to make a real difference during an important transition for a wonderful family
