Start Date: As soon as the family finds the right fit
Reference Code: TNJPT1985
Term: Long term
Vaccines Required: TDAP and MMR

The Nanny Joynt is thrilled to partner with a warm, flexible, and growing family in Queen Creek seeking a part-time Mother’s Helper / House Manager to support their home as they navigate life with a newborn and a busy preschooler. This role is ideal for a dependable, nurturing, and organized candidate who enjoys supporting a parent in the home, helping create calm and structure, and stepping in wherever needed with both childcare and household support. The family is seeking someone who can be an extra set of capable hands during this season, with a primary focus on infant care and light household management. They are also anticipating a move to Gilbert or Scottsdale in the upcoming months, so they would love to find someone open to continuing with them through that transition.

About the Family:

Children:

  • Infant son — DOB 01/26. He will be the primary focus of this role. The family is seeking someone with recent infant experience who is confident with feeding, soothing, diapering, naps, and maintaining calm, attentive care during the day.
  • 3-year-old son — He is expected to begin a part-time preschool program for a few hours a day, a few days per week. He will be involved in the role intermittently, but care will primarily center on the baby. When he is home, the family would love someone who can engage him warmly and patiently in age-appropriate play and routines.

Parents:

  • This is a first-time nanny family, and they are approaching the process thoughtfully and with flexibility.
  • Both parents are learning what rhythm and schedule will work best, and they are open to shaping the role around the right candidate.
  • They are looking for someone trustworthy, experienced, and collaborative who can work alongside a parent in the home and help lighten the mental and physical load of daily family life.

Pets:

  • Two well-behaved dogs are in the home. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a dog-friendly household.

Position Details:

Schedule:

The family is currently seeking 2–3 weekdays per week, for approximately 6 hours per day, with a goal of guaranteeing around 20 hours per week. Their initial preference is something like Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9am until 3 or 4pm, but they are flexible and open to adjusting the schedule based on the availability of the right candidate.

They would also love occasional support for:

  • A couple of weekend evening/night hours per month, primarily for the infant’s bedtime routine
  • Occasional travel support, as needed

The family understands that very part-time schedules can limit flexibility, so they are open to structuring the position in a way that makes the most sense for the right long-term fit.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Hourly Rate: $28–$32/hour DOE
  • Guaranteed Hours – 20 hours each week
  • W2 Position
  • Paid Vacation, Sick Days, and Holidays in accordance with the family’s guaranteed schedule and standard household employment practices

Travel Required:
Family does travel to San Diego for a few weeks each summer and would love their nanny to travel with them for the trip. A nice break from the AZ heat!

Occasional weekend evening support may be needed, but no regular overnights are currently anticipated.
