Location: Paradise Valley, AZ
Start Date: ASAP, as soon as they find the right fit
Reference Code: TNJFT2282
Term: Guaranteed through the end of May 2027 with the potential to extend
This one is for the career nanny who loves active little boys, stays calm when plans change, and enjoys keeping a busy household running smoothly!
The Nanny Joynt is partnering with a warm, fun, and highly private family in Paradise Valley. They are looking for an experienced Nanny/Family Assistant to care for their two boys, ages 4 and 18 months. Dad plays professional baseball (MLB), so the family’s rhythm looks a little different than most. This full-time position blends hands-on childcare in the mornings with family assistant and household support in the afternoons.
The family is in Arizona through at least the end of May 2027. For the right person, there is a genuine opportunity to build a multi-year relationship, which could include travel or time with the family during the season. That is something to explore together down the road and is not a requirement of the role.
About the Family
The Children
Son, 4 Years Old
- A sweet, sporty little boy who lives for baseball and would happily play for hours with anyone willing to pitch.
- He loves being outside, swimming, the backyard bounce house, playing with friends, and anything competitive.
- He attends preschool weekday mornings, roughly 9:00am to 12:00pm and occasionally until 1:00pm.
Son, 18 Months Old
- An active, curious toddler who loves being outdoors and is a bit of a climber!
- He is always looking for something to stand on or explore, so attentive, safety-minded supervision is key.
- He takes a long afternoon nap starting around noon and will be the nanny’s primary focus during the morning hours.
Both boys spend most of their days in the family’s backyard, which includes a putting green, basketball court, big yard, and pool.
The Parents
Mom typically works outside the home during the morning hours and is home in the afternoons. Dad is home more during the off-season and begins training in January. Both parents are hands-on and want their nanny to feel like a true member of the team.
Pets: A friendly 90-pound Golden Retriever who loves the boys and is usually right by their side. Light pet care, such as feeding and letting him out, is part of the role.

- Provide light care for the family’s Golden Retriever
A housekeeper handles laundry and cleaning weekly. This role focuses on everyday household flow rather than heavy housekeeping.
The Ideal Candidate
- High-profile family experience preferred: Experience with professional athletes, especially baseball families, or other high-profile households is a big plus.
- Laid back and flexible: Calm and easygoing when plans change, travel gets delayed, or a nap does not go as planned. The family follows wake windows and intuition rather than a rigid schedule.
- Intuitive and proactive: Reads the room, anticipates needs before being asked, and takes initiative around the house.
- Emotionally intelligent: Naturally reads the room, knows when to jump in and offer support, and is equally comfortable stepping back when the family wants time together.
- Genuinely loves children: Warm, playful, and excited to spend the day outside with two very active boys.
- A true team player: Stays consistent with the parents’ rules and routines so the boys get the same expectations from everyone.
- Experienced with multiple young children: Confident managing a toddler and a preschooler together.
- Discreet and professional: Understands and deeply respects privacy.
- Long-term minded: A career nanny looking for a meaningful role and open to growing with the family.
Special Requirements
- A signed NDA is required. Privacy is extremely important to this family. That means no photos or videos of the children shared or posted, no social media, and no sharing of the family’s location, routines, or personal information.
- Days are screen-free
- You must be comfortable with a large, friendly dog.
- There is a pool at the home, so strong water safety awareness is required.
- A reliable vehicle is needed for occasional errands.
- Schedule flexibility with advance notice is expected.

- Competitive pay
- A unique blend of childcare and family assistant responsibilities

- The potential to build a multi-year relationship, with optional travel opportunities
- Access to The Nanny Joynt’s monthly curriculum for developmental activities and inspiration
