About the Family
The Baby
Newborn boy, arriving in November, possibly a little ahead of his original due date. Grandparents will help for the first few weeks, so baby will be about 3 to 4 weeks old when the contract begins.
The Parents
These are first-time parents who are warm, funny, and refreshingly honest about being new to all of this. Rest and well-being matter to them, and they want to learn, not just get through the nights. They’re happy to follow the routine their NCS puts in place.
Mother: Works in tech and will be home on maternity leave for the full contract. She plans to breastfeed and pump, and she’s open to formula if needed.
Father: Works in tech and will be home on paternity leave for the first several weeks. He’s calm, steady, and hands-on.
Pets: Two large doodles. They bark at new people at first but warm up quickly once they meet you. They usually stay with the parents at night. No pet responsibilities are part of this role.
“Our biggest goal is preserving sleep, but also learning healthy sleep habits so we can become independent ourselves, versus just someone coming in and doing the minimum.”
