The Nanny Joynt is partnering with a warm, organized family in McCormick Ranch who are looking for a full-time nanny to care for their four-month-old son. This is a first-time family who has established a great routine with their baby and is ready to welcome an experienced professional into their home as Mom returns to work.

They are hoping to find someone who is genuinely engaged with infants, takes initiative with age-appropriate activities, and can confidently manage their son’s day while Mom works from home. With plans to welcome another baby in 2027, the family is looking for someone who is excited to grow alongside them and become a consistent part of their children’s lives for years to come.

About the Family

The Child

Infant Son, Currently 4 Months Old

• Sweet, smiley, and easygoing, with an established daily routine
• Formula-fed, with bottles approximately every three hours
• Sleeps independently in his crib and follows consistent wake windows and nap schedules
• Enjoys tummy time, playing on his activity mat, and daily walks

The family is expecting their second baby in May 2027. Mom plans to take an extended maternity leave, so the position will initially remain focused on their son before transitioning into a two-child role around fall 2027.

The Parents

Mom works from home full-time and has a dedicated office. Her schedule varies depending on client meetings and projects.

Dad works outside the home and is generally gone from approximately 4:30 AM to 5:30 PM.

The parents are warm, organized, and communicative. Mom plans to work independently throughout the day and is looking for someone who can confidently take the lead with childcare while she’s home. They value their established routines but also appreciate a nanny who can bring professional knowledge and helpful suggestions as their children grow.

The Pets

The family has a friendly six-year-old Corgi who is very much part of the household. There are no pet care responsibilities, but the family would love someone who genuinely enjoys dogs and naturally includes their pup throughout the day.

Position Details

Schedule

• 45 guaranteed hours per week
• Monday–Friday: Approximately 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Some flexibility with start and end times is appreciated, generally within 30–60 minutes of the regular schedule
• Occasionally, a day may extend until approximately 5:00 PM, with adjustments to other days when possible

Compensation & Benefits

• $28-$30/hour, depending on experience
• W-2 Household Employee
• 45 guaranteed hours per week, with overtime paid at time and a half for hours worked over 40
• Paid vacation
• Paid sick time

What You’ll Be Doing

Childcare Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, loving care while maintaining his established feeding, nap, and daily routines
• Engage him with age-appropriate play, tummy time, reading, music, and developmental activities
• Support upcoming milestones and help navigate transitions such as starting solids and adjusting nap schedules
• Track feedings, naps, and daily activities using the Huckleberry app
• Incorporate daily walks and eventually plan age-appropriate outings and activities

Child-Related Household Responsibilities

• Washing, preparing, and organizing bottles and feeding supplies
• Handling the child’s laundry, including washing, folding, and putting away clothing and linens
• Keeping the nursery, toys, and play areas clean and organized
• Preparing baby food and age-appropriate meals as solids are introduced
• Cleaning up after meals and daily childcare activities

All household responsibilities are directly related to the child. No general housekeeping or additional household management is expected.

• An experienced career nanny with a strong background in newborn and infant care, including knowledge of developmental milestones, sleep routines, and age-appropriate activities
• Genuinely engaged and proactive, someone who naturally gets on the floor, talks, sings, plays, and creates meaningful learning opportunities throughout the day without needing direction
• Confident and independent, comfortable managing an infant’s routine while a parent works from home, following established expectations, and offering professional input as needed
• Reliable, flexible, and communicative, able to maintain consistency while accommodating occasional schedule adjustments and building a collaborative relationship with the parents
• Committed to a long-term position, comfortable with the family’s friendly dog, and interested in building a lasting relationship with the family
