The Nanny Joynt is partnering with a warm, private Arcadia family in search of an Afternoon and Evening Nanny to be their steady, capable presence through the busiest hours of the day. Evenings, especially bedtime, are when this family most needs support, and they are looking for a nanny who tag-teams beautifully with Mom, brings real energy and patience, and is happy to travel with the family throughout the year. Discretion is very important to this family, and they would love to find someone comfortable becoming a trusted part of their daily life.

About the Family

Children

• Boy (5): a thoughtful, kind leader and the classic first child, bright and considerate.
• Boy (3): brave, bold, and full of energy.
• Boy (9 months): an easy, happy little one who is almost always laughing. He is becoming more mobile, loves his solids, and will be settling into a set nap and feeding schedule soon.
• Together, the boys are close and love each other. They are classic boys who are into sports, Legos, Minecraft, wrestling, and imaginative, active play. They are not iPad kids, they would much rather be outside or building something.

Parents

• Mom is home full-time, and this role tag-teams closely with her through the afternoons and evenings.
• Dad runs his own company and is often busy in the evenings, with some late nights and travel, which is exactly why the family wants a strong, steady presence for the evening routine.
• Privacy and discretion are very important to this family.

Position Details

Schedule

Monday to Friday, approximately 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

40 hours guaranteed per week, with occasional later evenings (about once a week) so the parents can enjoy a date night. Extra hours are always communicated in advance.

Travel & Overnights

Travel is a required and central part of this role. This family travels often, at least once a month, a mix of domestic and international destinations, with trips typically three to five nights and a handful of week-long trips throughout the year, plus meaningful time over the summer.

All travel expenses, including flights and lodging, are covered. In addition to regular pay for all hours worked, the nanny receives an overnight/travel stipend for each overnight while traveling with the family.

The family is flexible on structure for the right person. A rhythm of two weeks on, then a trip home to reset, then returning works well. Full-summer availability is a wonderful bonus but not a strict requirement.

$35-$40/hour DOE

What You’ll Be Doing

Childcare

Childcare is the whole heart of this role, tag-teaming with Mom through the afternoon and evening.

• Caring for the baby, and often all three boys, while Mom takes one or both older boys to their activities
• Supporting dinnertime and, most importantly, the three bedtime routines, the busiest and most important part of the day
• Keeping the boys engaged with active, imaginative play and helping them play well together
• Prioritizing safety at every stage, including safe sleep for the baby and sound judgment as he becomes more mobile
• Sharing warm, clear updates on the day
• Mostly a home-based role, with the occasional outing alongside Mom

Household Support

Light and always secondary to the children. The home has a housekeeper five days a week and a morning household manager, so the evening nanny’s focus stays on the boys, with simple tidying of the spaces used during the shift.

• A real spark for childcare, with the energy and stamina to keep up with three active, playful boys
• Someone who facilitates active, imaginative play and gets the boys engaged with each other rather than with screens
• Chill, routine-based, and a self-starter
• Confident asking questions so everyone stays aligned
• Patient, present, and phone-free
• Comfortable with frequent travel, including international
• Comfortable signing an NDA and maintaining strong discretion and privacy
