The Nanny Joynt is thrilled to partner with a kind, returning family seeking a highly experienced, confident Newborn Care Specialist to provide overnight support and help establish strong, healthy sleep foundations from the very beginning.
This is a premium-level overnight role for a true newborn professional who is skilled, intuitive, and deeply knowledgeable in sleep conditioning and infant development.

Position Details
Schedule:
- Overnight shifts: 10pm until 7am Monday through Friday
Term:
- 8–16 week contract
Sleeping Arrangements:
- A guest room is provided for rest during overnight shifts
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly Rate: $45–$55/hour DOE
- Professional, structured NCS placement

What You’ll Be Doing
This role goes beyond basic overnight care—you are helping shape the baby’s sleep foundation and the family’s confidence moving forward.
Responsibilities
Newborn Overnight Care
- Full overnight care of newborn with a calm, nurturing approach
- Handle all nighttime wakings and feedings
- Diapering, soothing, and resettling baby
- Maintain a quiet, peaceful overnight environment
Sleep Training & Routine Development
- Implement gentle, developmentally appropriate sleep shaping techniques
- Support longer stretches of sleep over time
- Establish consistent nighttime rhythms
- Provide guidance and reassurance to parents when needed
Feeding & Monitoring
- Support bottle or feeding plan as directed
- Track feeding and sleep patterns
- Monitor baby’s comfort and overall well-being
Nursery & Overnight Support
- Keep nursery clean, stocked, and organized
- Wash and prep bottles used overnight
- Reset the space so mornings feel calm and prepared
The Ideal Candidate
- Newborn Care Specialist Certificate (REQUIRED)
- Extensive overnight newborn experience
- Highly skilled in sleep training and sleep conditioning
- Calm, confident, and emotionally supportive
- Strong understanding of infant development and sleep cycles
- Excellent communicator who can guide first-time or growing families
- Discreet, professional, and reliable
