About the Family
This family is preparing to welcome their first baby and is thoughtfully exploring how to create a supportive, well-rested postpartum experience.
They are organized, communicative, and open to professional guidance—while also wanting to feel confident and involved in their baby’s care.
With one parent stepping into a demanding executive role shortly after baby’s arrival, overnight support will be especially valuable in helping the household feel balanced and supported.
The home environment is calm, respectful, and collaborative.
The family also has a dog, so comfort around pets is important.
Position Details
Schedule
The family is seeking overnight Newborn Care Specialist support 3 nights per week.
Preferred schedule may include:
- Sunday + Monday + Wednesday
- Sunday + Tuesday + Wednesday
- Sunday + Wednesday + Thursday
Typical Shift:
9:00 PM – 6:00 AM – With some flexibility if possible
The family may take a few days after birth to adjust before beginning care, but would like support to start within the first week postpartum.
Compensation
Hourly Rate: $35–$45 DOE
- Contract-based NCS role
- Competitive overnight rate based on experience

Responsibilities
As their Newborn Care Specialist, you will play a key role in helping both baby and parents feel supported, rested, and confident.
Infant Care Includes:
- Feeding support (bottle and/or breastfeeding support as needed)
• Nighttime soothing and sleep support
• Diapering and hygiene
• Monitoring baby’s needs and cues
• Supporting healthy sleep habits from the beginning
Household / Nursery Support:
- Cleaning and organizing bottles and pump parts
• Maintaining a clean, stocked nursery
• Light baby-related tidying, baby laundry
Parental Support:
- Helping parents get adequate rest overnight
• Offering gentle guidance and reassurance when needed
• Communicating clearly about baby’s night, feedings, and patterns
