This warm and thoughtful Arcadia-based family is seeking a nurturing, experienced, and reliable part-time nanny to care for their infant daughter as mom returns to work. This role is ideal for a seasoned nanny who thrives in long, structured shifts, values communication and dependability, and is excited to support first-time parents during this important time in their lives.

Requirements to apply for this amazing role:

    • Must be warm, nurturing, and genuinely love caring for infants
    • Experience with newborns and infants is required
  • TDaP and Flu vaccines are required
  • Proactive, punctual, and comfortable working independently
  • Strong communicator, especially with first-time parents
  • Able to commit to a long-term position (minimum 12–24 months)
  • Comfortable with extended shifts and occasional schedule flexibility
  • Infant CPR Certified
  • Values consistency, safety, and a peaceful, tidy home environment
  • Open to light household support when time allows

About the Family:
Children:

  • Baby girl: Will be 3 months old at the time of start (she’s adorable)
  • Healthy, happy baby following a consistent feeding and nap routine
  • Following Taking Cara Babies routines

PETS: Small Chihuahua mix, letting her in and out will be needed, and some walks if the nanny is comfortable. 

Parents:

  • Mom is returning to work for two 12–14-hour shifts per week, starting in March 2026. She will know her work schedule three months in advance.
  • Dad is a busy professional with long hours; he typically returns home between 6:30pm and 7:00pm.
  • These first-time parents are seeking a supportive and experienced nanny who can serve as an extension of their parenting approach.
  • The family is calm, kind, and eager to establish a trusted, lasting relationship with their nanny.
  • They have recently moved to Arcadia and are committed to providing a positive and respectful work environment.

Position Details:
Schedule:

  • Two full days/week, 5:30am–7:30pm (13–14 hour shifts) Mom will know schedule in advance each month.
  • Month of March the days will be Wednesday and Friday 5:30-7:30pm and one additional day each week possibly Monday or Saturday for 5-6 hours. 
  • Days will vary week to week based on Mom’s schedule which she will know in advance. 
  • One additional half-day per week (5–6 hours) for appointments or personal time for mom, this day will vary, but you will know in advance.
  • Total Hours: 30-34 guaranteed hours/week

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Hourly Rate: $28/hour
  • Guaranteed Hours 30-34 per week
  • W2 Position
  • Paid holidays if they fall on a regular workday, paid sick days per AZ guidelines

Travel Required: No
Overnights: Not required, but may be requested down the road

Responsibilities:

Childcare Duties:

  • Loving, attentive care for their infant throughout the day
  • Feeding, burping, and bottle washing, as well as sterilizing baby items
  • Managing nap schedules and transitions
  • Diaper changes and hygiene routines
  • Supporting baby’s developmental milestones with age-appropriate play
  • Comforting, soothing, and engaging with the baby throughout the day
  • Tracking feedings, naps, and diaper changes as requested by parents
  • Planning developmentally appropriate activities each day
  • Reading, singing, and engaging with the baby

Household Support:

  • Tidying areas related to the baby
  • Washing bottles, baby laundry, organizing baby gear, and supplies
  • Sanitizing high-touch baby items
  • Helping keep the nursery and living spaces clean and organized
  • Family-related tasks if time allows (tidying kitchen, unloading dishwasher)
  • Being helpful during down times, taking out trash, wiping counters, etc.
