The Nanny Joynt is thrilled to partner with an active, involved Arcadia-based family seeking a loving, engaging, and professional nanny to provide consistent care for their infant daughter and her siblings on occasion. The family is seeking a long-term team member to start in MARCH who will become an extension of their parenting values and daily routine, bringing positive energy, strong communication, and a high level of reliability.
About the Family:
Children:
- Daughter (will be 9 months at start) – Sleep-trained, on a consistent nap/feeding routine, healthy, happy baby who thrives with active, interactive care
- Two older children (boy 13 and girl 11) in school (50/50 shared custody) – Nanny may assist on occasion (e.g., school holidays or overlaps)
Parents:
- Mom will be in and out of the home and is highly engaged and communicative
- Active lifestyle; family enjoys outings, time outdoors, and structured routines
- Household includes one dog; pet care/overnight coverage may be requested during summer travel
Pets: Large Breed Dog – Pet care will be required so please be a dog lover!
Position Details:
Schedule:
This role follows a consistent rotating weekly schedule:
- Week A: Monday 9am-5pm, Tuesday 10am-4pm, Thursday 10am-4pm, Friday 10am-4pm (26 hours)
- Week B: Tuesday 10am-4pm, Wednesday 9am-5pm, Thursday 10am-4pm (20 hours)
- Occasional Saturdays as needed (6–8 hours): Support needed consistently through May due to club volleyball tournaments. Flexibility required (AM or PM determined weekly).
- Guaranteed Hours: 26 hours Week A and 20 hours Week B
- Summer Schedule: June–July will involve family travel (4 weeks away). The nanny may be asked to assist with dog care, overnight duties, and light household chores during absences. The family will continue to guarantee hours/pay.
The family’s schedule follows a consistent weekday rhythm, with care typically needed between 3–4 days per week and roughly 20–26 hours weekly, depending on the month. Most shifts fall between 9:00am and 5:00pm or 10:00am and 4:00pm, with occasional half-days and lighter weeks around school breaks or travel. While the exact monthly calendar varies slightly, nannies can expect a steady, predictable flow of daytime hours, with some flexibility during holidays, spring break, and late-spring events.
Travel Required: No travel required with the family at this time, but flexibility during the summer is appreciated.
Overnights: May be requested for pet care during travel weeks in summer (includes additional overnight pay)
Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly Rate: $35–$40/hour DOE
- Guaranteed Weekly Hours 20-26 hours per week
- W2 Position
- Paid Vacation, Sick Time, and Holidays
- Pet care and/or overnight support will be required
Responsibilities:
Childcare Duties:
- Create a nurturing, screen-free environment focused on developmental engagement
- Prepare and feed meals/snacks
- Maintain nap/feeding schedule (baby is sleep trained)
- Daily walks, outings to the zoo, library, aquarium, etc.
- Plan engaging, age-appropriate activities
- Support routines for older children when they are home
Household Support:
- Tidying of child areas
- Bottle washing, baby laundry
- Wiping counters, sweeping floors, taking out trash
- Keeping the house tidy and organized
- Occasional dog care or household tasks during summer travel
