Overview
The Nanny Joynt is thrilled to partner with an exceptional, warm-hearted family in Arcadia seeking an experienced, proactive, and deeply loving full-time career nanny and household manager. With two bright, curious, and kind children (ages 6 and 5), this family seeks their perfect long-term partner who will become an integral part of their daily lives and help them raise their kids with love, care, and consistency.

Their 6-year-old daughter is in 1st grade. She is intuitive, caring, and full of wonder, with a deep curiosity about the world around her. She’s active, loves drawing, and is beginning piano lessons soon, so a nanny with musical interests would be a dream match! Her younger brother (almost 5) is sweet, polite, and ocean-obsessed — he loves learning about sea creatures and Legos and will be starting Pre-K in August. They are both closely bonded, and the family values their strong sibling connection deeply.

This family is warm, down-to-earth, and dedicated to creating a peaceful and happy environment. Their nanny will be a core member of the team, supporting the children and household while Mom and Dad maintain busy professional schedules. Schedule:
Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00am – 6:00pm
You will not be needed for this entire block of time each day, and will have the freedom to leave the house for your own errands etc. during the day.  You must have flexibility to cover gaps, handle pickups, and be available when kids are home sick or out of school.

Compensation & Benefits:

Compensation: $67,000 – $73,000/year DOE
Benefits: Guaranteed hours, Paid vacation, holidays, and sick time.
Mileage reimbursement for work-related errands

Travel opportunities with the family (especially to Colorado during summer)

 

The Family’s Ideal Nanny:

• Experienced and mature — has 5+ years of professional nanny and household management experience with stellar references
• Intuitive and proactive — notices what needs to be done and handles it without being asked
• Deeply loving and emotionally intelligent — builds strong, trusting connections with children and parents alike
• Flexible and reliable — can handle last-minute changes in schedule and occasional overnight stays
• Organized and capable — able to manage a dynamic household and keep things running smoothly
• A great communicator — asks questions, shares updates, and helps plan activities the kids will love
• Creative and engaging — loves planning fun, meaningful outings and projects using The Nanny Joynt Curriculum
• Musically inclined or artsy — bonus if you can play piano, drums or share creative passions
• Spanish-speaking — a plus, but not required
• Animal lover — willing and able to help care for their sweet 13-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who will need fed and taken on short walks.

Childcare Responsibilities, but not limited to:

• Planning and initiating engaging, educational, and FUN activities weekly using The Nanny Joynt Curriculum
• Healthy meal and snack prep for children
• Driving children to/from school and activities (reliable, safe vehicle required; mileage reimbursed)
• Homework support and school project assistance
• Creating and organizing activities based on the children’s interests (e.g., piano, soccer, Legos, swimming and ocean animals)
• Managing all child-related tasks and keeping their routines on track including teaching them household responsibilities like cleaning up after themselves,making their beds, etc.
• Helping children understand rules and boundaries with loving, respectful communication
• Swimming with the children on hot days and anytime just for fun

Household Responsibilities, but not limited to:

• Light tidying and daily organization of shared and kid spaces
• Running errands (Target, grocery store, post office, etc.)
• Grocery shopping and family meal prep a few times a week
• Family laundry and linens – making parent’s bed and helping the children to make their own beds.
• Packing/unpacking for travel
• Overseeing household scheduling, contractor appointments, and maintenance
• Coordinating with Mom and Dad’s Executive Assistants to keep the home running smoothly and ensuring that the children’s activities are planned and scheduled
• Occasional pet care (feeding, waling, letting in/out, vet appointments, and pet-sitting as needed)
• A housekeeper handles deep cleaning; however, the household manager will be expected to keep the home tidy and organized. And as noted above, teaching the children how to help in this effort.

Additional Requirements:

• Must be a confident swimmer and comfortable being in the pool with the children
• Flexibility to travel with the family, especially during the summer months, for a few weeks at a time, you are not required to travel for the entire summer
• Comfortable working in a household with mom working from home in her private office 
• Clean driving record and reliable vehicle
• CPR/First Aid certified
