The Nanny Joynt is deeply honored to represent a kind and loving family seeking a full-time, emotionally attuned nanny to support them through an important chapter. Recently relocated from Utah, this family includes two children—a bright and imaginative 5-year-old girl and a cheerful, curious 19-month-old boy—who are seeking an experienced, energetic caregiver to be a steady, loving presence in the home while the mother undergoes medical treatment over the next 9–12 months.

The ideal candidate will bring warmth, creativity, and flexibility to their days, joining this thoughtful family in honoring a high level of communication, mutual respect, and care.

About the Family:

Children:
Daughter (5 years old): A energetic and curious spirit who thrives with 1:1 attention, creative projects, and movement. She loves Legos, dance, puzzles, arts and crafts, playgrounds / sports, and giving ballet performances. She is being homeschooled and enjoys hands-on learning without pressure.
Son (19 months): A happy, active little boy who loves to climb, build, and follow his sister’s lead. He enjoys reading books with colorful pictures, spotting airplanes and birds, dancing to music, and exploring the house with a caregiver narrating his discoveries.

Parents:
Mom is currently staying at home as she goes through medical treatment. Dad works full-time from home. The family is living with grandparents during this transition and values strong communication, empathy, and a caring team environment.

Position Details:
Schedule:

  • Monday–Friday, approximately 8:00am–4:00pm or 9:00am–5:00pm
  • Flexibility appreciated for outings, swimming, and occasional adjustments / date nights
  • 40 hours/week preferred; 35 hours/week may be considered depending on candidate
  • 9–12 month term to start, with potential to extend

Travel Required: No travel required at this time

Compensation and Benefits:

    • Hourly Rate: $30–$35/hour DOE
    • Paid legally on W2 
    • Guaranteed hours 
    • Paid Vacation, Sick Days, and Holidays (based on final agreement)
  • Educational expenses covered if related to child development (e.g., CPR, lifeguarding, early childhood education / parenting books) 

Responsibilities:

Childcare Duties:

    • Full care of both children during daytime hours
    • Facilitate creative play and age-appropriate, hands-on activities
    • Guide sibling interactions and conflict resolution with empathy and boundaries
    • Coordinate outings to shaded playgrounds
    • Swim with children in at-home swimming pool with close supervision (would love someone who could teach swimming)
    • Engage children with thoughtful conversation, shared curiosity, and emotional attunement
    • Provide consistency, calm energy, and structure in daily routines
    • Maintain a no-screen environment and model limited adult screen use around children

Household Support:

    • Light household help during nap times and quieter moments (e.g., dishwasher, laundry, prep)
    • Laundry and tidying of all child-related areas
    • Ensure kitchen and play areas are reset after meals and play
    • Keep water bottles full and ready for outings
    • Help support meal routines and dietary preferences (whole foods, balanced nutrition)
    • Support privacy and uphold boundaries around household and family confidentiality
    • Help with supporting the family and household as needed

Health & Safety:

  • Must be cautious around illness due to mom’s immunocompromised status
  • Must notify family of any illness or known exposure immediately
  • Practice handwashing, sanitizing, and illness-prevention measures daily
  • Comfortable enforcing pool safety and supervising near water
  • Familiarity with early childhood safety practices and proactive risk assessment
  • Vaccines Required: TDAP, Flu, and MMR – must be illness-cautious and health-aware
