About the Family: Join a dynamic family where you’ll be caring for a bubbly, almost 10-year-old girl who is full of life and energy. She’s an extrovert who loves fun activities but can be a bit shy around new people at first. This position is ideal for an experienced, nurturing nanny who can provide firm boundaries, help with academics, and create a fun, active environment. The father is a single parent who travels frequently for work, often gone for about 15 days a month, including overnights, and is looking for a nanny who can be a reliable and supportive presence in his daughter’s life. You should be kind, caring, very loving, and able to connect with his daughter. 

Job Highlights:

• Schedule: Approximately 15-18 overnights per month with some trips lasting 3-4 days, and others could be 5-7 days. Flexibility is key in this role
• Pay: $62,000 to $72,000 per year DOE
• Benefits: Paid vacation, paid sick time, and a private nanny suite with a comfy bed and TV. Access to the garage may also be available. 
• Flexibility: Must be available for school drop-offs, pick-ups, and full care during Dad’s travel days. Some holiday work is required, and the schedule is typically known 15 days in advance.
• Must have your own very reliable and safe vehicle.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive care for the 10-year-old, including school drop-offs, pick-ups, and transportation to activities like Sylvan Learning, ice skating, and running club. 
• Assist with homework, reading, and school projects, ensuring she stays on top of her academics.
• Plan fun, engaging activities and encourage healthy eating and an active lifestyle.
• Maintain a consistent daily routine, including getting her ready for bed around 8:30 PM.
• Be proactive in managing her schedule, and household chores, and ensuring she follows rules and boundaries while also helping out around the house.
• Provide full-time care during Dad’s work trips.
• Caring for the home, grocery shopping, cooking healthy meals, laundry, and organizational projects. Helping out with whatever needs done.

• Proven experience as a full-time nanny with strong skills in maintaining firm boundaries while being kind and nurturing.
• Ability to be flexible with the schedule, including overnights and holiday work.
• Comfortable helping with academics and school-related activities.
• Must be proactive, intuitive, and communicative, aligning with the family’s values of respect, kindness, honesty, and a strong work ethic.
• Must be willing to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle for the child.
• No pets in the home due to allergies.
• Must have your own reliable and safe vehicle.
• Should be open to spending time with other family members when Dad travels.
