Exciting New Part-Time Nanny for a Beautiful Baby Girl

Family Summary:

Nannies, what an amazing family we have here for you!  This family has the sweetest 4-month-old baby girl!  She is a jovial and easygoing baby, who loves interacting with others, outdoor time, walks, and music. This family is currently seeking to hire a part-time nanny for the next 8 months with a possible extension. Their nanny would be responsible for caring for their daughter, following her cues and typical rough schedule. This (currently) includes two shorter naps in the morning and either one longer or two shorter afternoon naps. She will need to be either breastfed by her mom, depending on her work schedule, or bottle-fed every 2-3 hours (pace-fed, and on-demand). They will also be starting solids, likely following a mix of baby-led weaning and homemade purees, and would love assistance in preparing those meals. During the additional awake time, they’d want to prioritize a variety of developmentally appropriate activities (singing, time on the playmat, etc.) and time outdoors (weather permitting). They are seeking a candidate who is experienced, loving, kind, proactive, and communicative and understands that their main goal is to hire a nanny who will be active and engaging with their daughter each day, while also making sure she is safe and loved. Their ideal nanny is someone highly experienced with infants, professional but light-hearted, someone who can respect personal boundaries is very creative, can think ahead and anticipate needs, and is a self-starter. You should be safety-minded and have experience with children this age.  They want to hire someone who can help them with advice, while also being mindful of their family values. Mom and dad both work from home so their nanny must be an active team player.  You should have a warm personality and love spending time with their daughter. The family appreciates open communication and would love for their nanny to be a great communicator. 

 

This position is offering $25 – $28 per hour with guaranteed hours, paid vacation time, PTO, and paid holidays. The family has travel planned during the summer and some in the fall so their nanny will also have this time off paid. They would love if their nanny would be available for pet/house sitting if needed. 

The schedule for this position will be:

•       Monday through Thursday 8:15am – 3:45pm (30 hours each week)
•       Would love flexibility from their nanny on the days and times on occasion.
•       Would appreciate their nanny being available for date nights as well.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Childcare-Related Responsibilities:   

•       All comprehensive infant care, feeding (pace bottle feeding and baby-led weaning), changing
•       Helping to maintain a sleep schedule and routine
•       Potty training 
•       Engaging, playing, reading, planning activities, walks, and being outside
•       Helping baby meet and exceed all developmental milestones
•       Age-appropriate activities
•       Washing bottles, dishes, etc. 
•       Baby laundry, linens
•       Organizational projects

 

Household/Assistant-Related Responsibilities:

• Cleaning up after self and child
• Kitchen, cleaning high chair, floor, counter
• Load and unload the dishwasher, baby dishes/bottles sanitizing
• Changing crib/changing/diaper pail 
• Baby’s laundry
• Running errands
• Organizational projects if needed

Considerations:  

•       COVID-19: This family does NOT require the Covid Vaccine
•       Length of Commitment: 6 months to start.  
•       Pets: The family does have one dog in the house.
•       Occasional pet care may be needed, pet sitting, letting in and out, walking, feeding, watering
