The Nanny Joynt is delighted to partner with these amazing first-time parents in their search for a kind, experienced, and supportive part-time nanny to care for their son, who was born in January 2026. This is a wonderful opportunity for a caregiver who loves working with newborns and is confident supporting new parents as they return to working from home. The family is offering a steady schedule, competitive pay, and a warm, collaborative home environment with a deep respect for professional caregiving. This position will be for 6 months to start with a potential to extend. 

About the Family:

Child:

  • Boy, born January 2026. He’ll be just over 3 months old at the start of the role. The family is looking for a nanny experienced in infant care, especially someone patient, knowledgeable, and confident in handling newborn feeding, sleep cues, soothing, and developmental milestones. Recent verifiable infant experience will be required to apply for this position.

Parents:

  • Both parents work from home full-time and are navigating new parenthood with a positive and curious mindset. They are thoughtful, communicative, and eager to partner with a nanny who can help them feel supported during this transition.

Pets:

  • The family has a 9-year-old golden retriever who is friendly, calm, and low-maintenance. The ideal candidate will be comfortable around dogs and happy to let the pup in/out during the day or include him on occasional walks.

Position Details:

Schedule:

  • Monday through Thursday, 8:00am–3:00pm
  • Friday, 8:00am–12:00pm
  • 32 guaranteed hours/week

Note: Parents are at home during the day and appreciate a nanny who is charismatic, independent, and comfortable working in a household where parents are present but focused on work.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Hourly Rate: $30–$35/hour DOE
  • Guaranteed Hours, W2 Position, Paid Vacation, Paid Sick Days, Holidays

Travel Required: None required

Overnights: Not required

Responsibilities:

Childcare Duties:

  • Attentive, developmentally appropriate care for an infant
  • Bottles and feeding support, burping, soothing, tracking naps
  • Maintain a consistent daily routine
  • Diapering, dressing, and keeping the baby comfortable and clean
  • Age-appropriate tummy time, music, books, walks, and stimulation
  • No driving is needed for this role, family prefers a nanny who does not expect outings
  • Supporting transitions like sleep routines and developmental changes

Household Support:

  • Baby’s laundry
  • Sanitizing bottles and baby items as needed
  • Tidying nursery and baby spaces
  • Occasional help with light household tasks when time allows (e.g. dishwasher, wiping surfaces, taking out trash)
  • Letting the family dog out, basic pet support if parents are unavailable
  • Open communication with parents about the baby’s day and needs
  • Taking initiative to help out with things that need to be completed each day

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experienced in caring for young infants 0–12 months
  • Comfortable with the at home nature of this role
  • Calm, patient, and confident in supporting first-time parents
  • Warm and engaging while also independent and proactive
  • Comfortable working in a home with both parents present full-time
  • Enjoys dogs and has no pet allergies
  • Trustworthy, organized, and able to help create a calm, structured environment
  • Up to date on required vaccines – TDap, MMR – to be verified by the family
