The Nanny Joynt is so happy to be working with this wonderful family to help them find an amazing part-time nanny/household assistant for their two school-aged children! The ideal candidate for this family will be very reliable, loving, and upbeat, with strong communication skills and a confident approach. They are seeking someone who is dedicated to growth, patient in helping children learn independently, and excited to bring fun and structure into their routine. You’ll need to be experienced with school-aged children, capable of managing afternoon schedules, and enthusiastic about assisting around the house. This is a deeply caring, positive, organized, clean, and thoughtful household—ideal for a career nanny who thrives in structured, collaborative environments.

About the Family:

Children:
7.5-year-old girl: Kind, creative, and social
4-year-old boy: Playful, curious, and active

Parents:
Two business executives who are hands-on, values-driven, and highly engaged with their children. They work both inside and outside of the home and are looking for a nanny who will be a seamless extension of their family.

Pets:
Two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels—very friendly and affectionate. Some light pet care (feeding, occasionally taking to the groomer) is needed.

Position Details:

Schedule:
Monday–Thursday, 1:00pm–7:00pm (school pickup is at 2:45; 1:00-2:45pm is reserved for household organization, meal preparation, and errands)
24 guaranteed hours/week
Some flexibility is appreciated when parents need additional coverage – notably when kids need to stay home sick from school, during early dismissal or no school days, and during extended breaks from school (fall break, spring break, Christmas break, etc). Parents are extremely good communicators and are committed to communicating all possible dates well in advance.

Travel: Occasional and optional, with at least four weeks’ notice. All costs covered, private accommodations provided.
Overnights: Occasional and optional, by mutual agreement.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Hourly Rate: $28–$30/hour DOE
  • Guaranteed Hours, W2 Position, Paid Vacation, Paid Sick Days, Paid Holidays

Responsibilities:

Childcare Duties:

  • Daily school pick-up
  • Transporting to and from after-school activities (in the nanny’s vehicle)
  • Supporting routine, structure, and positive behavior
  • Creating and engaging in fun, developmentally appropriate activities
  • Managing 2nd grader’s homework, helping her to complete
  • Maintaining children’s areas and belongings (backpacks, lunch boxes, toys)
  • Preparing healthy dinners and snacks, planning nutritious options, and encouraging the children’s involvement in mealtime routines
  • Coordinating occasional playdates
  • Managing logistics around children’s appointments

Household Support:

  • Daily tidying of the main living and kids’ areas
  • Light household duties (weekly vacuuming, spot cleaning, organizing)
  • Kitchen cleanup (dishes, counters, floors)
  • Running errands as needed
  • Laundry: washing, hanging, putting away children’s clothes and bedding
  • Household organization projects (closets, cabinets, etc.)
  • Helping maintain a calm, welcoming, and organized environment so the parents can be fully present and engaged when at home

  • Experienced with school-aged children

  • Clean driving record and reliable vehicle, no texting or phone usage while driving
  • Strong references
  • CPR/First Aid certification required

  • Kids get no screen time (phone, tablet, or otherwise) during work hours. Nanny usage is limited to only when needed
  • Respects family privacy and confidentiality; no posting photos, videos, or location information on social media
