The Nanny Joynt is excited to partner with a wonderful family in Scottsdale to help them find a professional, reliable, and loving nanny to support their newborn baby and mother while dad travels for work. The ideal candidate will be experienced with infants, gentle and proactive in their support, and flexible with scheduling to accommodate alternating weekly needs. This is a unique and meaningful opportunity to work closely with a kind, engaged family who deeply values trust, communication, and compassionate care.

About the Family:

    • Baby girl, just a few weeks old and thriving – she’s adorable!
    • Mom is home full-time and looking for an extra pair of hands and calm, dependable support
    • Dad travels for work every other week and is committed to ensuring Mom has consistent help when he is away
  • The family will be moving from Scottsdale to Surprise in February, and is seeking someone open to that transition
  • The family prefers no outings until their baby is much older
  • Pets: NO pets in the house
  • Travel and Overnights: May be requested in the future

Position Details: Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 10am until 6pm with the flexibility to come early or stay late during the weeks Dad is traveling 
  • Monday through Friday, 12pm until 6pm on the weeks Dad is not traveling
  • Family does have flexibility with the schedule on the weeks that Dad is not traveling, they are open to discussing what works best for everyone and is open to offering a monthly salary.
  • The family knows Dad’s travel schedule well in advance and can provide ample notice
  • Would love a nanny who is open to date nights and occasional weekends

Hourly Rate: $30–$35/hour DOE
Benefits: Guaranteed hours, Paid Holidays, Paid Vacation, Paid Sick Time, W-2 Position

Responsibilities: 

Childcare Support:

  • Bringing the baby to mom for breastfeeding and assisting during feeds
  • Diapering, soothing, and newborn care tasks throughout the day
  • Following safe sleep and developmentally appropriate practices
  • Age-appropriate activities, reading, singing, and tummy time

Household Support:

  • Sterilizing bottles, pump parts, and baby items
  • Doing the baby’s laundry, folding, and organizing
  • Preparing light meals for mom (warming up breakfast/lunch)
  • General tidying and helping keep the home organized
  • Occasional errands or light household tasks to ease mom’s load
  • Family prefers a clean, organized, and tidy home
  • The family does employ a regular housekeeper

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Warm, nurturing, and professional with strong recent verifiable newborn experience
  • Able to work full-time every other week, with reduced hours on alternate weeks
  • Trustworthy and proactive, with strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Calm presence and understanding of postpartum support
  • The candidate should be hygienic, clean, and open to regular hand washing
  • No phone use while holding the baby 
  • NO shoes to be worn in the home
  • Open to the family’s move to Surprise in February, taking into consideration the mileage and drive time
