The Nanny Joynt is thrilled to partner with a wonderful, entrepreneurial family in Scottsdale seeking a warm, proactive, and experienced nanny to primarily care for their newborn while providing occasional after-school support for their preschooler. This is an ideal role for a nanny who loves infants and is looking for a long-term, part-time position with the potential to grow over time.
About the Family:
Children:
- Boy (born 09/22/2025): Easygoing infant, will be 6 weeks at start; needs nurturing newborn care including feeding, diapering, and help establishing a gentle routine
- Boy 4.5: Social, verbal, independent 4.5-year-old enrolled in full-time preschool with occasional after-school care needed (pickup, outings, playtime)
Parents:
- Mom and Dad are small business owners; Mom will be working at home 60% of the time, while Dad works outside the home. The household is energetic, loving, and values open communication, reliability, and mutual support.
Position Details:
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday: 9:00am – 3:00pm
- Total Hours: 30 hours/week guaranteed
Travel Required: No – May be requested down the road.
Overnights: No
Pets: None
Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly Rate: $30
- W2 Position
- Paid Vacation, Sick Days, and Holidays
Responsibilities:
Childcare Duties:
- Primary care for newborn: bottle feeding, diapering, establishing routines, sleep support
- Occasional after-school pickup and care for preschooler (short outings, snack prep, active play)
- Engage both children with warmth, patience, and age-appropriate developmental activities
- Communicate clearly with parents about routines, milestones, and daily flow
Household Support:
- Light tidying related to children (bottles, toys, diapering supplies)
- Basic support to keep things running smoothly during nanny’s working hours
- Children’s laundry
- Making healthy meals and snacks for the children
- Organizing and sanitizing toys as needed
- Keeping the home neat and tidy on a daily basis
The Ideal Candidate:
- Nurturing, reliable, and emotionally intelligent
- Experienced with newborns and preschoolers
- Confident managing care for both children (though rarely at the same time)
- Open communicator, comfortable working alongside a parent working from home
