The Nanny Joynt is partnering with a wonderful family in Gilbert, seeking a patient, proactive, and experienced part-time nanny to care for their two young children: a 2.5-year-old daughter and a 7-month-old baby girl. This family is looking for a caregiver who is confident managing two young children, understands child development and age-appropriate structure, and is happy to follow the family’s home routines. This is a collaborative, respectful home with an amazing morning nanny in place — the afternoon nanny will work closely with the parents to ensure a consistent, warm, and engaging environment.

About the Family:

Children:

• 2.5-year-old daughter: Bright, expressive, and benefits from a consistent schedule. She LOVES books!. She thrives with engaging play, activities, and low-screen routines. 
• 7 month old baby girl: Happy, loves her big sister, enjoys trying new foods, reading, and exploring new toys and activities. Mom will be breastfeeding the baby at home on her at home work days.  

Parents:

• Mom works full-time inside and outside of the home. This family is seeking the best care for the children and loves for their nanny to feel like part of the family. 
• Dad works inside and outside of the home and has limited flexibility.
• The family has a trusted morning nanny with 19 years of experience who is staying on with the family. 
• Grandma occasionally helps, but the family is now seeking a nanny to join their team who is experienced and professional to offer afternoon support, which will maintain consistency for the family. They currently employ an amazing morning nanny!

PETS: There are two cats in the house; no pet care is needed

Position Details:

Schedule:

• Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 1:00pm–6:00pm and every other Friday 9-2
• Some weeks would be 15 hours and others 20 hours. 
• Working alongside the morning nanny and supporting a smooth afternoon transition. Checking with her each day regarding feedings, naps, and activities. 

Compensation and Benefits:

• Hourly Rate: $28–$32/hour DOE
• Guaranteed Hours, W2 Position, Paid Vacation, Sick Time, Holidays

Travel: Not needed at this time

Overnights: Not needed at this time

Responsibilities:

Childcare Duties:

• Seamless handoff and continuity with the morning nanny
• Potty training assistance while on shift
• Engage in play, outdoor time, stories, crafts, and activities — screen-free afternoons
• Support age-appropriate development, emotional regulation, and transitions
• Prepare healthy snacks and support light meal routines
• Support quiet time, nap transitions (as applicable), and bedtime prep if needed
• Comfortably care for both children as needed
• No shoes to be worn in the home 

Household Support:

• Light tidying related to the children (toys, books, kitchen cleanup)
• Children’s laundry and organization
• Help with bottles, diaper supplies, or restocking nursery items
• Sanitzing child related items, bottles, dishes, toys, etc.
• Load and unload dishwasher, taking out trash, general cleaning up as needed 
• Maintain household routines and follow parents’ lead on expectations
• Being helpful where needed and taking initiative

• Experienced with toddlers and babies simultaneously
• Confident in supporting two children with calm, attentive care
• Excellent communicator — respectful of parental preferences and teamwork with other caregivers
• Emotionally intelligent, gentle, and consistent with boundaries
• Comfortable stepping into an afternoon rhythm and helping things run smoothly
• Flexible and patient
• Familiarity with respectful parenting and low-tech/no-screen approaches preferred
