Are you a dedicated and experienced Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) looking for a short-term opportunity to support a wonderful family? Look no further! This family is so sweet, and kind and seeking the best care for their sweet baby girl who was born in May 2024. Their NCS needs to be kind and very nurturing, someone who will give the family gentle advice and guidance while also listening to their concerns and expectations. There is a 3-year-old in the house as well, however, no care will be needed for her. You will be required to have a current NCS Certificate and verifiable professional references.
Position Details:
The ideal schedule for this position is:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9:00pm until 7:00am
Compensation will be: $35-$45/hour DOE
Family Goals for NCS:
- Supporting parents through the night
- Supporting breastfeeding during the nighttime
- Establishing healthy sleep habits for the baby
- Educating parents as needed with helpful information
Responsibilities:
- Providing night-time care for the newborn
- Supporting breastfeeding and assisting with any nursing needs
- Helping to create a calm and nurturing nighttime routine
Accommodations:
- A bed will be provided for the NCS in the guest room and there is also a recliner in the nursery to use as needed.
Household Details:
- Pets: One dog in the home who is calm and quiet
- The baby’s nursery is upstairs, however, they can move the bassinet into the guest room with the NCS if needed.
Travel: No travel needed
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of professional NCS experience
- Highly experienced and open to providing advice
- Comfortable with a gentle, no-crying-it-out approach
- Patient and nurturing at all times
