The Nanny Joynt is delighted to partner with this wonderful family who are seeking a compassionate and experienced Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) to provide overnight care for their newest arrival, who is due any day now. With four older children (ages 13–6) and two loving parents, this family is seeking support that will bring calm, rest, and reassurance during the newborn stage.

About the Family:

Parents:
Both parents are warm, organized, and experienced parents welcoming their fifth child. Mom will be home full-time with the older children and is looking forward to restful support at night. They’ve previously employed nannies and understand the importance of creating strong relationships with caregivers.

Baby: Their daughter is expected to arrive around October 15, 2025, and will be formula-fed. The family is focused on establishing routines and getting restful sleep during the newborn stage.

Pets: One small dog and one cat in the home, no care needed. 

Home Environment:
Busy but highly organized, happy, and filled with laughter. The family has a recliner in the baby’s room for the NCS to use during downtime.

Position Details:

Schedule:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Friday – 10:00pm – 6:00am (8-hour overnight shifts)
  • Start Date: Around October 20, 2025
  • Term: 10 weeks, with possible extension based on need and NCS availability

Duties Include:

  • Full overnight care of newborn (feeding, diapering, soothing)
  • Bottle preparation and cleaning/sanitizing feeding supplies
  • Tracking sleep/feed patterns
  • Tidying nursery and restocking supplies as needed
  • Supporting sleep conditioning and helping to set a good sleep routine

Compensation:

  • Hourly Rate: $30–$35/hour DOE
  • Guaranteed Hours: Yes
  • Paid Directly by Family

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experienced with overnight newborn care and sleep conditioning
  • Calm, nurturing, and trustworthy with strong communication skills
  • Patient and confident in supporting new routines and family transitions
  • Comfortable working in a home with multiple children
  • Independent and organized, able to manage care without needing supervision
