Family Summary:
The Nanny Joynt is excited to share this fantastic full-time opportunity with a warm family who spends their summers in Flagstaff! They would need their nanny to join them in Flagstaff for the summer, although, you will have some flexibility to return to Phoenix from time to time. They family is also offering their new nanny an AirBnb for her comfort and privacy while in Flagstaff! They have a bright, energetic 18-month-old daughter who thrives on intellectual stimulation, and they just recently welcomed their sweet newborn daughter into the family a few weeks ago.

The family is seeking a high-energy nanny with recent experience working with infants and toddlers. The ideal candidate will be outgoing, playful, nurturing, proactive, detail-oriented, organized, and focused on safety. This role requires someone physically active to keep up with their high-energy toddler and carry her up and down stairs when necessary. Previous experience caring for two young children simultaneously is essential.

The nanny will be responsible for planning activities at home as the family prefers no driving with the children at this time. The family does travel, and they would love for the nanny to join them, including summer stays in Flagstaff and occasional trips to Cabo San Lucas.

This position is perfect for a nanny who enjoys spending time in Flagstaff and escaping the summer heat of Phoenix! They seek a fun, engaging caregiver who can create stimulating and enjoyable learning opportunities for their children. The family emphasizes teamwork, as Mom and Dad are in and out of the house daily, and they want their nanny to feel like part of their family.

Compensation:

• $28-$32 per hour

• 40 guaranteed hours per week. Paid vacation, 6 paid holidays, 24 hours paid sick time accrued per year

Schedule:

• • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

  • Flexibility required for occasional early mornings, late evenings, and weekend help, as they adjust to their new routine with 2 children.

• Summer schedule in Flagstaff will be similar with flexibility – you will have your own private AirBnb!

Responsibilities:

Childcare:

• Comprehensive care of both children

• Preparing healthy meals and snacks

• Cleaning up after meals and activities

• Keeping a daily log for both children (meals, sleep, supplements, etc.)

• Assisting with potty training when applicable

• • Ensuring children meet and exceed developmental milestones

• Engaging the children with educational activities, reading, and creative play

• Planning fun, screen-free activities at home

• Helping with packing/unpacking for trips

• Maintaining and organizing children’s areas

Household:

• Cleaning up after yourself and the children

• Dishwashing, loading/unloading the dishwasher

• Family laundry and linens

• Taking out trash/recycling as needed

• Keeping the home tidy and organized (making beds, light housekeeping, etc.)

• Assisting with errands and grocery shopping when needed

• Occasional meal prep and cooking for the family

• Managing household items (stocking, reordering)

• Daily mail and package management

• Resetting the house before leaving for the day (refilling baby items, emptying diaper pail, etc.)

• Recent verifiable experience with both infants and toddlers

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally (especially to Flagstaff and Cabo San Lucas)

• Skilled at creating fun, educational activities at home

• Comfort with open communication and honesty

• Enjoyment in working with children of these age groups

• Must love dogs (the family has two affectionate Miniature Poodle/Havanese brothers)

• Must maintain a fragrance-free environment in line with the family’s preferences (no perfumes, scented products, etc.)

Additional Considerations:

• COVID-19: The family does not require the COVID-19 vaccine.

• Commitment: 1-year minimum

• Pets: The family has two Miniature Poodle/Havanese dogs that will need care, including feeding, letting out, and occasional pet sitting.
