Family Summary:

The Nanny Joynt is happy to partner with this amazingly sweet and kind family seeking an experienced, mature, nurturing, and safety-conscious individual who will partner with them in caring for their infant twins who are due in May 2023. This family would love that their new nanny be experienced in helping them create an ideal schedule that works well for them. This family will be working closely with a Nanny Joynt Newborn Care Specialist so their nanny should be open to following her lead when it comes to setting a schedule into place for the twins. These parents are both very busy professionals and want to find the best care for their family. They are looking for a caregiver that can become part of their family for at least one year and hopefully longer as their twins grow. They are good communicators and listeners and would want to promote this with any potential candidate. They would love to find a wonderful nanny who is bilingual in Spanish and English, however, this is not a requirement of this position. You should be experienced in caring for infant twins or children very close in age. Candidates need to have verifiable and recent experience working with infants. Someone who will actively engage with them each day, and most importantly provide a safe and loving environment for them to thrive in. Their ideal nanny will be educated, calm, loving, nurturing, and be invested in the care of their children. Mom will be on maternity leave and will be working from her home office on occasion. Dad works outside of the home and is very busy. The twins grandmother will also be in the home each day, she very much wants to help and be present for this exciting time. Their new nanny should be welcoming and kind so that she is able to work alongside the grandmother as needed.   Their new nanny should be reliable, adaptable and be able to offer them gentle guidance and support as their twins grow. Nannies, this is going to be a wonderful family to work with. 

This family is very eco-friendly and appreciates a nanny who will also be on board with limiting single-use plastics and chemicals in their home. They prefer a candidate who is aware of strong fragrances and not bringing them into their home. 

This position is offering $30 – $32 per hour with paid vacation, paid sick days, paid holidays and guaranteed hours!!!

The schedule for this position will be:

• Ideally, Monday – Friday from 7:00am until 3:00pm or 8:00am until 4:00pm with some flexibility to stay later or rearrange the schedule as needed to best accommodate the twins and mom’s work schedule. 

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Childcare Related Responsibilities:

• Feeding, diapering, and facilitating a healthy sleep/nap schedule
• Working with NCS to stay on a great schedule 
• Baby food preparation, when needed
• Helping the twins hit developmental milestones
• Playing/reading, singing, teaching new skills and going for walks, planning activities once the children are older. They live in a wonderful neighborhood so walks and being outside are encouraged. 
• Maintaining a log of daily activities, feedings, naps, and activities
• Maintaining the children’s areas and ensuring baby items are stocked and organized
• Children’s laundry and linens

Household Related Responsibilities:

• Cleaning up after self and children
• Load/unload dishwasher, wiping counters, sweeping floors
• Taking out the trash when needed
• Emptying diaper pail daily
• Help with family laundry/linens
• Making sure all areas are organized/tidy as needed
• Washing all bottles, pump parts, sanitizing as needed
• Organizational tasks pertaining to children
• Errands and other household tasks as time allows
• The family does have a housekeeper for deep cleaning

Requirements:

• COVID-19 – Family REQUIRES their nanny to be vaccinated for Covid-19. Would like the nanny to be up to date on TDAP and Flu as well.
• Experienced, mature, reliable, calm, nurturing, flexible, engaging, and active with the children
• Great communication skills
• You should proactive and intuitive at all times
• Safety is a TOP priority 
• Love experiencing and teaching new things
• Honesty and open communication

Considerations: 

• Limited screen time while caring for the children
• Length of commitment – 1 year to start, ideally long term
• Pets: The family does have one very large 120-pound Mastiff who is very sweet, easygoing, and lazy.  He has a dog door so not much pet care is needed. If the nanny is comfortable taking him on walks that would be amazing!
