Family Summary:
This family is seeking an energetic, experienced, professional career nanny who really loves being a nanny and wants to be with their family long term. You should have 3+ years of in home, full time nanny experience and a bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education. Their son is 5 years old and is in pre-k, he is active, curious and loves reading and super heroes. Their daughter is 2 years old and loves going to the park and is so sweet and cuddly.  Multitasking, time management and being highly organized will be essential to success in this position, and a nanny who is extremely reliable is of the utmost importance. Their new nanny will be someone who will be adaptable and flexible with the needs of the family, as well as active in creating age appropriate and fun activities each day while keeping them busy and happy. You should be very experienced with children ages 2-6, someone who is active, patient, fun, happy, upbeat, and interested in lots of imaginative, engaging play time. Being creative and fun is a must. You should love being outdoors, taking walks, playing outside and experiencing new things with their children. They are seeking a nanny who is excited about her career and really enjoys having fulfilling days with their children and family!

This position is offering $25 – $30 per hour DOE/training/education with guaranteed hours, paid vacation, paid sick time, paid holidays and use of a family vehicle while transporting the children.

The schedule for this position will be:
 5 days per week
 M-F 8:00am – 5:00pm
 Family will guarantee 40 hours per week with OT pay over 40 hours

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Childcare Related Responsibilities:   

    • Complete care for the children
    • Research healthy vegetarian/plant-based recipes and cook children’s meals (family dinner on occasion)
    • Assistance with transitions and rituals for children (beginning of day, end of day)
    • Plan and execute intentional daily activities that support age/stage relevant development; fun and engaging play time
    • Planned outings (parks, KTR, zoo)
    • Read with children
    • Help them meet their developmental milestones
    • Laundry for the children (daily) including linens (weekly)
    • Full clean up (tidy/vacuum/sweep/wipe down) of areas the children utilize
    • Organization and maintenance of children’s belongings; daily tidying of children’s bedrooms, closets, toys, books
    • Cleaning toys/sanitizing, keeping things in order and neat
    • Children’s dishes; matching cups and lids
    • Keep track of clothing sizes and make suggestions when clothes no longer fit
    • Pick up and drop off from preschool
    • Pick up/drop off from friends or family members as needed
    • Prepare overnight bags for children as needed (ex: for Grammy’s house)
    • Assist with children’s hygiene (baths, brush teeth, etc)
    • Complete online Conscious Discipline course at our expense
    • Keep cars cleaned out and free of children’s items

Household Related Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning up after self and children
  • Keeping fridge and pantry clean, tidy and organized
  • Maintain laundry room, kitchen, and tv room
  • Towels and linens laundry
  • Family laundry
  • Wiping counters and sweeping kitchen floor
  • Loading and unloading dishwasher
  • Emptying trash
  • Errands as needed (ex: Whole Foods, Target run, UPS store, returns, car wash, etc)
  • Help prepare home/guest room for guests when needed
  • Miscellaneous (ex: helping decorate for birthdays/holidays, organizing toy room, etc)
  • Observe any inefficiencies/disorganization and proactively address to make home run more smoothly and look tidy and pulled together
  • Proactively help with development of daily household & children’s schedules to accomplish responsibilities set forth in this addendum

Covid – 19: This family does not require their nanny to be vaccinated for Covid-19, however, they would like their nanny to be cautious and following CDC guidelines.
