Family Summary:

Nannies, such a great opportunity to work with an amazing family and their adorable little boy!  This family has the sweetest 7 month old little boy who is very curious, fun loving and very active! He loves to read books, take walks and spend time with his family. They are seeking a candidate who is professional, experienced, creative, super fun, trustworthy, high energy, bubbly and very loving. Someone who integrates well with family chemistry, knows when to step in and step back intuitively, someone who will collaborate with them in order to give their son the best care. They would like for their new nanny to be highly organized and able to help them maintain organization and cleanliness in their home.  You should be knowledgeable and able to offer gentle guidance and support to these parents as this is their first child. They want you to be excited to hang out with their son and understand that privacy is so important. Family requires that there be no photos and NO social media posting while working with their family.  You will be asked to sign an NDA before working with this family. Ideally you should be someone who is professional but also light hearted, someone who can respect personal boundaries, and can think ahead and anticipate needs. Mom and Dad are very hands on so you should be comfortable working alongside them at times. They really want their nanny to feel like part of their family!  Mom and Dad both have home offices and will be around most of the day so their nanny must be an active team player. They really want their son to feel loved, someone who is very invested in them and genuinely cares.  

This position is offering $25+ per hour DOE with guaranteed hours, paid sick days, paid holidays, and paid vacation.

The schedule for this position will be:

• Ideally Thursday through Monday 8:00am – 4:00pm (availability to stay later some days will be needed)
• Family has a flexible schedule and would like for their nanny to be open to working different days/hours as needed. They are willing to work with a candidate regarding the schedule as well.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Childcare Related Responsibilities:   

• All comprehensive childcare for their son, feeding, changing
• Helping to develop a sleep schedule and routine, help guide them in this process, knowledge of Taking Cara of Babies would be ideal
• Engaging, playing, reading, planning activities, walks 
• Helping him meet and exceed all developmental milestones
• Educational age appropriate activities
• Washing bottles, dishes, etc.
• Children’s laundry, linens
• Organizational projects, keeping areas tidy

 

Household/Assistant Related Responsibilities:

• Cleaning up after self and child
• Kitchen, cleaning high chair, floor, counter
• Load and unload dishwasher, baby dishes/bottles sanitizing
• Changing crib/changing/diaper pail 
• Errands, grocery store 
• Ensuring child items are stocked and organized

• Being outdoors, simplicity when it comes to toys

• Limited screen time

Requirements:

• Privacy, signed NDA before working with family
• Reliable, on time, active and very caring
• Experienced with babies and toddlers, engaging, proactive, consistent
• Safety is a top priority – Family does have a pool
• Would love someone who is into education/child development 
• Ability to take initiative and create activities
• Maintaining health and safety at all times
• Love experiencing and teaching new things
• Honesty and open communication, hard worker
• Professional, loyal, loving, hands-on, nurturing, team player
• No cell phone use while caring for their son, no social media posting or photos

Considerations:  

• COVID-19: This family is not requiring the Covid-19 Vaccine 
• Length of Commitment: One year to start
• Pets: Two sweet cats in the home. Some pet care will be needed, feeding or giving them water.
• Travel and overnights will be required while working with this family. They travel to some fun places and would love for their nanny to be able to go on trips with them. They would require their nanny to stay with their son for some overnight occasions as well, with notice.
