Family Summary:

The Nanny Joynt is so happy to be partnering with this wonderful family seeking a full-time household manager.  Someone who is very proactive, intuitive and can help them manage their daily lives around their home! Their family consists of Mom and her 20-year-old son who will be going away to college in August. The ideal candidate for this position will be a self-starter, someone who works well alone and is very self-sufficient.  You should be social and enjoy interacting with neighbors in the community as needed. A love of cleaning, organization, an eye for detail, and being busy is required!  They want a candidate who will focus on really keeping the home looking its best and someone who will ask questions as needed, communication is key in this position!  The ideal candidate will understand that every day won’t be the same and you should be very flexible each day if plans change. You should also be warm, positive and willing to help out wherever needed. This family is very kind, a joy to work with and really cares about the people in their lives, they want their household manager to feel welcomed and happy!  Their household manager needs to be comfortable working with contractors, maintaining cleanliness in all aspects of the home.  Shopping, running errands, helping with planning events, setting up and cleaning up after events is also a big part of this position. They would love to find an active, reliable household manager who has experience in this role.  

This position is offering $20 – $25 per hour with guaranteed hours, vacation time, sick time and paid holidays.

The schedule for this position will be:

  • Ideally Monday through Friday – 7:30am until 2:30pm (35 hours per week)
  • Flexible with hours for the “right” candidate

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Household Related Responsibilities:

  • Keeping the home sparkling clean (3500 sq. ft.) – kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, windows, floors, dusting, moping, all rooms and all areas

  • Cleaning and maintenance of vehicles and boat (including gas, washing, fueling, maintaining boat batteries and generator)

  • Load/ unload the dishwasher, wash dishes as needed, wipeout and clean as needed kitchen appliances

  • Taking out the trash and recycling

  • All shopping, grocery, pharmacy, gifts, etc.

  • Helping with events as needed

  • Running pool waterfalls and fire pits, general maintenance

  • Making sure all areas are organized/tidy

  • Meal preparation if needed

  • Errands, receiving packages, shopping, dry cleaning

  • Full laundry, linens, changing of beds, towels, clothes etc., some hand washing

  • Feed roses and fruit trees 3 times a year, pick fruit

  • Sweep exterior of house, hose down patios as needed

  • Working with contractors, scheduling maintenance as needed

  • Making sure all maintenance items are taken care of around the house

  • General ability to see what needs to be done and can complete those tasks

Considerations: 

  • Pets – No pets in the home
  • Length of commitment – One year to start, ideally 3 to 5 years
  • COVID-19: This family would like a nanny who is being cautious and following the CDC guidelines in efforts to minimize risk and exposure to the virus. Someone who is practicing social distancing and wearing a mask in public would be ideal.
