The Nanny Joynt is so excited to support this wonderful, growing family in their search for a reliable, energetic, and hands-on full-time nanny! This role is focused on caring for their engaging and curious 1.5-year-old daughter. She was born prematurely and is thriving, so the family is looking for a nanny who is knowledgeable in supporting developmental milestones, providing enriching activities, and maintaining a screen-free, interactive environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with toddlers, a proactive and organized approach, and a genuine love for children. The family also includes three older children (ages 4.5, 11, and 13) who are in school full-time. Care for them is only needed on rare occasions during breaks or holidays, and extra pay will be provided for those hours. The family values structure, respect, and creating a positive atmosphere in their home, and they are seeking a professional nanny who wants to be part of their long-term routine.

About the Family:
Children:

• 1.5-year-old daughter – Playful, thriving, loves outdoor time, books, and engaging interaction
• 4.5-year-old son – In school full-time; may be home occasionally
• 11-year-old and 13-year-old – Independent and school-aged; minimal care needed 

Parents:

• Mom has recently accepted a new full-time role and will work a hybrid schedule (some remote days). She enjoys joining her daughter for lunch when possible and values open communication with the nanny.
• Dad works outside the home and is also a business owner, often home in the afternoons but not involved in care during nanny hours.

Position Details:
Schedule Options:

• Preferred: Tuesday – Friday, 7:00am – 5:00pm (Four 10s; 40 hours/week)
• Alternate: Tuesday – Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm (36 hours/week)
• Guaranteed Hours: Yes — 36–40 hours/week guaranteed
• Potential overnight care or travel may be needed with advanced notice. 
• Flexibility: Occasional care for older siblings on school closure days (advance notice, increased pay)

Compensation and Benefits:

• Hourly Rate: $26-$29/hour DOE
• Guaranteed Weekly Hours – 36-40 hours
• W2 Legal Pay
• Paid Holidays: 6 major holidays (if they fall on scheduled work days)
• Paid Vacation: 1 week after 90 days (flexible with notice)
• Paid Sick Time: Accrued per AZ state law (1 hour per 30 hours worked, up to 24 hrs/year)
• Payroll: Family will use a compliant payroll provider

Responsibilities:

Childcare Duties:

• Full daily care of 1.5-year-old: meals, diapers, naps, engaging activities
• Supporting developmental milestones (especially post-preemie progress)
• Creating fun and educational activities each day using The Nanny Joynt Curriculum
• Screen-free, hands-on play: reading, backyard time, games, crafts
• Following a consistent daily schedule
• Managing transitions with gentleness and structure
• Occasional care for older children on holidays or during breaks (with adjusted rate) 

Household Support:

• Cleaning up child-related areas and messes
• Preparing meals and snacks for the child
• Tidying the play areas and the kitchen each day
• Light household help as needed (dishes, toy cleanup, laundry for child)
• Help with organizational projects
• Children’s laundry: wash, fold, put away
