If you are a loving and experienced nanny seeking a great position with a returning Nanny Joynt family, this role may be perfect for you. Their sweet daughter is 3 years old and is just so much fun! She loves to be busy and enjoys doing new things each day.
This family is searching for a nanny who will engage their daughter in activities in and out of the house that further her development physically, intellectually, socially, and emotionally. Someone who takes the initiative to plan activities ahead of time, creates a weekly curriculum, and will notify parents of materials or items needed. They are happy to order or purchase anything you need to create super fun activities.
Preferred Activities Include:
- Outdoor playtime – taking her to a park nearby or in the backyard, as weather permits.
- Socialization – arranging play dates with other children or simply taking her to activities that would have other kids around.
- Storytime – taking her to the local library for weekly story time and creating an engaging story time at home with puppets or props to make it more interactive.
- Sensory play – setting up sensory bins with materials like rice, beans, or water for open-ended play.
- Art and crafts – putting together art projects with age-appropriate materials and using The Nanny Joynt Curriculum that is sent out each month.
Their daughter loves to read and has an amazing vocabulary. She is outgoing at home but more reserved in large groups. The ideal candidate will have prior professional experience with 3-year-olds, patience, empathy, and a love for learning. Physical stamina and safety awareness are essential. Both parents work from home and appreciate check-ins that don’t disrupt the day.
Position Details:
- Hourly Rate: $28–$30/hour DOE
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm (40 guaranteed hours/week)
- Must be flexible to arrive early or stay later on occasion
- Benefits Include:
- Paid on W2, Guaranteed hours, Paid vacation, Paid sick days, Paid holidays, Use of family car for transporting their daughter
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
Childcare-Related Responsibilities:
- All comprehensive child care: healthy meals (breakfast, lunch, snacks)
- Reading, education, and developmentally enriching engagement
- Take child to/from scheduled activities
- Full engagement, play, and educational interaction
- Driving to/from outings and activities – car provided
- Organizing and cleaning up child-related areas
- Ensuring all child supplies are stocked and organized
- Plan and engage in age-appropriate educational and creative activities (reading, art/crafts, music, games, sensory activities, outdoor play etc.)
- Encourage/plan practical life activities (self-serve snacks, getting dressed, putting on shoes, maintaining their own space etc.)
- Plan and offer hands-on academic activities (like counting with beads)
Household-Related Responsibilities:
- Cleaning up after oneself and child
- Loading/unloading dishwasher
- Taking out trash/recycling as needed
- Organizing child’s areas
- Child’s laundry, linens, sheets, and towels
- Packing/unpacking for travel
- Family meal prep
- Completing a daily tidy-up before leaving
- Note: Housekeeper employed for deep cleaning
