The Nanny Joynt is thrilled to partner with first-time parents in a warm and welcoming family seeking a nurturing, reliable, and developmentally attuned nanny for their infant son. The family is seeking a confident caregiver who can support their sweet boys’ milestones and provide consistent, hands-on care in their home.
About the Family:
- Child: Boy born June 17, 2025 — will be 3.5 months old at the start of care
- Parents: Mom is returning to full-time work in October, and Dad is a physician with long hours. Both parents will be in and out of the home during the day, so comfort with shared space is essential.
- Pets: 2 Australian Shepherds and 1 cat — some pet care expected
- Parenting Style: Safety-conscious, respectful, engaged, and open to learning alongside their nanny
Position Details:
- Schedule:
- Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM (9-hour days) – Schedule could change a bit in the future.
- One day will be a half day afternoon 4 hours – you will have advance notice of this day and hours
- Guaranteed 40 hours per week
- Occasional flexibility for errands is appreciated

Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly Rate: $25-$28/hour
- W2 Position with Guaranteed Weekly Hours
- Paid Sick Time, Paid Vacation, and Holidays
Responsibilities:
Childcare Duties:
- Full infant care: feeding, diapering, napping, soothing
- Meal preparation when needed for the child
- Experienced with helping implement a nap schedule during the day. Baby is currently contact napping. He is sleeping very well at night.
- Developmental milestone tracking and age-appropriate play
- Tummy time, rolling, sitting up, reading, singing, sensory activities
- Ongoing communication with parents about the baby’s routine and progress
- Maintaining a safe, clean environment — especially with pool proximity (no fence yet)
- Using baby care app and open communication with parents, logging duties, feeding, diapers, etc.
Household Support:
- Light tidying during naps
- Bottle washing, baby laundry, and general upkeep of nursery and common areas
- Light pet care: letting dogs out, refilling food/water, basic support
- Open to helping with occasional errands and tasks to support family rhythm
- Adapting to the schedule as the baby grows
The Ideal Candidate:
- Infant-experienced (3+ years preferred) and confident in solo baby care
- Aware of clean hygiene, dressing and grooming is very important, being well kept and organized
- Knowledge of basic sign language and willingness to teach baby
- Warm, proactive, organized, and dependable
- Comfortable working with parents in/out of the home and adapting daily flow
- Not expected to drive or go on outings with the baby initially (home-based care until he’s a little bit older) Outings to local play spaces and classes will be needed in the near future
- Pet-friendly and open to light household/pet care
- Safety-minded, emotionally mature, and gentle in caregiving
- Someone who brings calm and confidence to a new parenting journey
