This long-term role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a background in estate management or private service who thrives in a quiet, organized, and detail-focused environment.

About the Household:

  • This beautiful, luxury residence is home to a private client who values structure, cleanliness, and professionalism. 
  • The home is well-maintained and set up for efficient operations, with high-end finishes, vehicles, and guest accommodations. 
  • The family’s current Household Manager has been in the role for 18 years and will remain during the transition to help train and support the new hire. 
  • The client is respectful, values consistency, and is deeply loyal to long-term team members who bring care and discretion to the role. 
  • Candidate must be clean, presentable, trustworthy, and aligned with the standards of a luxury estate.

Position Details:

Schedule:

  • Approximately 30–40 hours/week
  • Typical schedule is Monday–Friday from 9:00am–3:00pm or 5:00pm
  • Occasional evenings or weekends for events/parties (2–3x/year)
  • Flexibility is appreciated for travel coordination or special projects
  • Flexibility to be on call for as-needed tasks, could be weekends, holidays, evenings
  • You should be open to the client communicating with you while you are not working
  • Occasional overnights may be needed 

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Hourly Rate: $35/hour
  • Paid via W2
  • Guaranteed hours, paid vacation, paid sick time, paid holidays, and a healthcare option

Responsibilities:

Household Duties:

  • Oversee day-to-day household operations with a focus on excellence
  • Manage all household linens, including bed-making, sheet laundering, and guest room preparation
  • Perform light housekeeping duties, primarily maintaining kitchen and household tidiness
  • Ironing, organizing closets, proper care of linens, and light wardrobe care as needed
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors when needed (interior and exterior)
  • Assist with event setup and occasional party planning support
  • Ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of all high-end surfaces and finishes
  • Drive for errands, appointments, or vehicle upkeep when requested
  • Supervise additional support staff, i.e., pool, lawn, exterminator, audio-video services, and home repairs
  • Organizing wardrobes, closets, cabinets, and drawers
  • Organizing the garage, storage spaces, and home office
  • Maintain household supplies and back stock
  • Run errands, including grocery shopping/Costco
  • Maintain files and dates for projects, vendor repairs, and entertainment
  • Coordinate vehicle maintenance, including the car wash company
  • Manage parties and sit-down dinners
  • Greet guests
  • Assist with traveling, packing, and airport runs
  • Assist with guests who are visiting

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experienced: Proven background in estate or luxury household management
  • Professional: Well-groomed, polished, and discreet with strong communication skills
  • Clean & Organized: Naturally tidy with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining order
  • Trustworthy: High integrity, excellent references, and clear background
  • Driver: Must have a clean driving record, own a reliable vehicle, and be a confident, careful driver (may drive high-end vehicles)
  • Flexible: Willing to adjust to occasional needs and events with notice
  • Collaborative: Will work closely with the current household manager during the transition period to ensure continuity and consistency
