Full-Time Nanny + Household Manager for Two School-Aged Girls in a Loving Scottsdale Family

The Nanny Joynt is delighted to partner with a warm and loving family in Scottsdale who is seeking a full-time, long-term nanny and household manager to support their two daughters, ages 12.5 and 5. Their current nanny has been with the family for six wonderful years and is retiring, so this transition will be emotional and significant for everyone involved. The family is hoping to find someone patient, organized, emotionally supportive, and confident, juggling a dynamic household with two working parents (both physicians), multiple pets (3 dogs and a cat), and a blend of childcare and home support needs.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy but loving environment, who takes initiative, and who is ready to truly become part of the family’s rhythm and life.
About the Family:
Children:
12.5 year old girl: A thoughtful, responsible pre-teen who enjoys her independence but still needs reliable support and connection.
5 year old girl: A lively, cuddly kindergartner who thrives on attention, play, and consistency.
Both children are in school and participate in various activities.
Parents: Busy professionals who deeply value their nanny’s role in their home. They are structured, respectful, and deeply grateful for someone who can offer reliability and warmth in equal measure.
Pets: Three dogs and one cat. The ideal candidate must love animals and be comfortable helping with occasional pet errands (grooming, daycare).
- Position Details:
- Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm (42.5 hours/week guaranteed)
- There will be occasional schedule shifts with advance notice, such as 7:30am to 4:00pm or 10:00am to 6:30pm, depending on the parents’ work schedules.
- Notice of schedule changes will be given in advance; however, flexibility is highly valued and appreciated.
Compensation and Benefits: Hourly Rate: $30–$32 DOE
Guaranteed Hours, W2 Position, Paid Vacation, Paid Sick Days, Paid Holidays
Travel Required: Some travel may be needed. Flexibility for local errands and school/pet drop-offs is needed. The family will provide a vehicle for the transportation of the children.
Responsibilities:
Childcare Duties:
- School drop-off and pick-up (schools are approximately 15 minutes apart)
- Transportation to and from after-school activities
- Engaging and emotionally present care for both children, especially during the transition from their previous long-term nanny
- Full-day care on sick days, school closures, and early release days
- Light supervision of homework and daily transitions
- Making healthy meals and snacks
- Children’s laundry, linens
- Tidying up all child-related areas each day
- Creating fun and exciting activities for the girls regularly.
- Being active and social with the children
Household Support:
- Family laundry
- Organization of the household
- Grocery shopping and replenishment of household items
- Tidying, loading the dishwasher, and kitchen clean-up
- Shopping for children’s clothes and school items as needed
- Coordination with household service providers or vendors
- Pet care tasks, such as daycare or grooming drop-offs. Feeding, walking, and letting them in and out during the day. Some pet sitting may be needed.
- Being proactive and helping where needed
