The Nanny Joynt is excited to assist a loving family in Phoenix in finding a reliable, proactive and experience nanny to provide nurturing care for their happy, active 2-year-old daughter. They are seeking an experienced nanny with at least 5 years of childcare experience who will be a positive influence, empowering and encouraging their daughter’s independence. You should be capable of making sound decisions, creating a fun and educational environment for their daughter and be well versed on caring for a toddler in this age group. This family values open communication, kindness, and consistency, and they can’t wait to welcome someone who shares these values into their home.

Position Details:
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00AM to 4:00PM (some flexibility as needed)
- Flexibility: They do have some flexibility if the nanny needs to leave earlier than 4pm
- Hours: 45 hours per week, with overtime as applicable
- Hourly Rate: $30-$35 per hour DOE
- Benefits: Guaranteed hours, paid vacation, paid sick time, paid holidays, and a possible healthcare stipend
- Additional Needs: Occasional travel with the family, especially in the summer, and possible overnight stays are required
Ideal Candidate Qualities:
- At least 5 years of experience in a nanny role with children in this age group
- Positive, active, and engaged in supporting child development
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with work-from-home parents
- Shares the family’s values of kindness, open communication, and positive reinforcement in childcare
- Positive, professional and experienced working with work at home parents who allow full autonomy
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Childcare
- Engage their daughter in age-appropriate, developmental activities that support learning and exploration.
- Plan engaging, educational activities such as arts and crafts, outdoor play, and other stimulating experiences.
- Help with social activities including playdates, dance class, music class, and outings to the library and farmer’s market are highly encouraged.
- Support milestones like potty training, reinforcing healthy habits, and encouraging independence.
- Practice kind parenting techniques like active listening, redirection, and gentle guidance to support her emotional development.
Household Management
- Assist with light housekeeping: laundry, loading/unloading the dishwasher, wiping countertops, and maintaining tidiness in the main living areas.
- Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the child.
- Handle household errands as needed to keep the family organized and efficient.
Additional Duties:
- Assist with pet care for the family’s well-behaved Border Collie-Poodle mix, including letting her in/out, feeding, and water. Pet-sitting may occasionally be requested.
