The Nanny Joynt is partnering with a private family in North Scottsdale to identify a high-level, career Household Manager to oversee the daily operations of their staffed home. This role requires a confident, systems-driven professional who is comfortable acting as the central operational lead for a complex household with older children, other staff members, and active schedules.

Only candidates with prior experience in a fully staffed private residence or similar, who understand discretion, structure, and accountability. You will take full ownership of household systems, staff coordination, scheduling, and day-to-day logistics while providing secondary childcare support as needed.

Requirements to apply for this role:

Candidates must meet the following criteria to be considered:

  • Minimum 3+ years of professional household management or similar experience: In private homes (Luxury hospitality or high-level service backgrounds may be considered as complementary experience, but private home experience is required)
  • Prior experience working in fully staffed residences
  • Strong systems and operational management skills – Tech skills are required
  • Advanced organizational and time-management abilities
  • High level of discretion and professionalism; comfortable signing an NDA
  • Proficiency with digital tools such as Monday.com, Teams, or similar platforms
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work under a single point-of-contact structure
  • Comfortable supervising older children and managing school-related logistics
  • Physically capable of managing an active household environment
  • Reliable, flexible, and available for occasional evenings, weekends, and overnights

About the Family

Children:

  • Twin girls, age 12.5: One highly driven and athletic; one creative and imaginative
  • Girl, age 11: Independent, tennis player; gluten intolerant
  • Boy, age 8: Calm, home-oriented; participates in diving and tennis

Pets:

  • One large dog (80 lb Lab-Shepherd mix).Pet care required, including feeding, walks, and occasional overnight coverage.

Parents:

  • Both parents are busy professionals and work from home at times.
  • Household communication and task management are handled via Microsoft Teams (daily communication) and Monday.com (task and system tracking).
  • All primary communication and direction will be streamlined through Dad.

Position Details

Schedule:

  • Monday–Friday, 10:00am–6:00pm
  • Flexibility for early arrivals, late departures, occasional Saturdays, and overnights is required

Compensation and Benefits

  • Hourly Rate: $32–$35/hour DOE
  • Health Insurance: 80% employer-covered
  • 401(k): With employer match
  • Paid Vacation:
    • 1 week after 90 days
    • 1 additional week after 1 year
  • Paid Sick Time: 24 hours annually
  • Paid Holidays: 6 major federal holidays

Travel & Driving

  • No routine travel required
  • Occasional overnights are required when parents travel
  • Supervision of children swimming in the family pool is required
  • Family vehicle provided for all driving duties

Household Management Responsibilities

  • Full operational oversight of a 5,000 sq ft home
  • Create, document, and maintain all household systems and procedures
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive household manual
  • Serve as the primary point person for all household staff and vendors
  • Coordinate schedules and communication for the chef, housekeeper, and service providers
  • Manage household tasks and workflows using Monday.com
  • Run errands, including groceries, dry cleaning, and returns
  • Schedule and oversee vendors, maintenance, and service appointments
  • Maintain household inventory, including pantry, supplies, and school materials
  • Perform daily resets and light housekeeping; deep cleaning to be scheduled and handled by external cleaners
  • Manage family laundry 
  • Assist with healthy meal prep when the chef is unavailable

Childcare Responsibilities (Secondary Focus, but ongoing)

  • Provide sole care coverage on Fridays, and when parents are unavailable or traveling
  • During the summer children are often in camps 3-4 days a week, and the entire family will be out of Phoenix each July. There will be added childcare in the summer, however, not excessive
  • Coordinate school pickups and activity transportation regularly
  • Support online learning and school-related tasks using KaiPod
  • Plan and lead Friday enrichment activities (educational outings, museums, hikes)
  • Supervise pool time as required
  • Reinforce independence, responsibility, and family expectations
