The Nanny Joynt is thrilled to partner with a warm and thoughtful Phoenix family seeking a professional, full-time nanny to support their sweet toddler and newborn baby girl. This is a long-term role ideal for a nurturing and proactive caregiver who enjoys planning meaningful days for toddlers, is open to evolving infant care duties, and thrives in a home where collaboration, trust, and communication are key.

About the Family:

  • Children: 
    • Boy – Born August 2023. A bright, active, and curious toddler who will not be attending daycare or preschool. He thrives on routine, engaging play, and outdoor adventures. 
    • Baby Girl – Expected October 2025. Infant care will gradually begin around 3–6 months postpartum. 
  • Parents: 
    • Mom is currently home full-time but works part-time during nap windows (10–20 hrs/week).
    • Dad owns a business and frequently travels during the week.
    • Grandparents live locally and may help occasionally, but both work full-time. 
  • This family is seeking trustworthy, consistent support and has had past experience with short-term sitters, but is now looking for a professional nanny who will grow with them long-term.

Position Details:

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday
  • 7:00AM until 3:00PM – with some flexibility needed
  • 40 hours/week, with guaranteed hours
  • Occasional evenings may be requested 

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Hourly Rate: $30–$35/hour DOE
  • Paid via W2 payroll
  • Guaranteed weekly hours, Paid Vacation, Sick Days, Holidays
  • The family makes frequent trips to Europe and may ask their nanny to join occasionally, depending on availability and interest.

Responsibilities:

Toddler Care (Primary Focus):

  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate learning activities
  • Creating a weekly age-appropriate curriculum
  • Prepare and serve toddler-friendly meals/snacks
  • Keep the child engaged through imaginative, screen-free play
  • Manage naps, diapering, transitions, and daily structure
  • Take the child on local outings: parks, walks, library, classes, etc.
  • Maintain and tidy play spaces, child gear, and supplies 

Infant Care (Gradual Integration):

  • Begin assisting with baby care between 3–6 months postpartum
  • Support with bottle prep, feeding, soothing, naps, and tracking routines
  • Occasional care for both children together once the baby is older
  • Help the baby meet and exceed developmental milestones 

Household Support:

    • Tidying of the kitchen and common areas used during the day
    • Unloading dishwasher, wiping counters, and helping with occasional errands
    • Baby/toddler laundry as needed
    • Taking out trash if needed
    • Help in keeping the home neat and organized
  • The family does have a large, friendly dog, so household tasks may occasionally include some pet care.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experienced: Minimum 3 years of professional nanny experience; ideally with infants and toddlers
  • Must have a clean driving record. A large family vehicle will be available for the nanny’s use when transporting the children.
  • Family travel: When the family travels, they will need help around the house—for example, with dog sitting, organizing, etc. 
  • Educated or ECE-minded: Preschool or early childhood background preferred, but not required
  • Warm + Trustworthy: Naturally loving with children and highly dependable with parents
  • English Fluency: Native-level English skills required (Mom is a non-native speaker)
  • Playful + Engaging: Creative in planning activities, play, and enrichment for young children
  • Professional + Flexible: Comfortable navigating shifting needs as the family grows
  • Values-Aligned: Can work collaboratively with a kind, intentional, and communicative mom
