The Nanny Joynt is thrilled to represent a HNW client that we have worked with for several years, to find a full-time, highly experienced, and confident Household Manager with occasional childcare support capabilities. This role focuses on the seamless management of multiple properties while also supporting a team of long-term household staff. This person should be a self-starter and can read a room, know when to step in and step out. Managing your time is imperative, so high-level critical thinking skills are required in this role.

  • This is a fully staffed household with long-term nannies, a chef, and housekeepers.

Position Details:

Schedule:

  • Guaranteed 40 hours/week – Hours to be discussed
  • Monday–Friday 9am-5pm with occasional evenings and weekends required
  • Flexibility required for occasional overnights, holidays, and travel. Travel could be 1 to 4 weeks at a time depending on the job duties needed at the other homes. 
  • Must work well within a solid team of professionals

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Hourly Rate: $40+/hour DOE
  • Paid via W2, guaranteed hours, paid vacation, sick time, and holidays
  • Health and dental insurance option
  • Use of your own vehicle is required

Responsibilities:

Household Management (Primary Focus):

  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day and ongoing maintenance of their homes and their primary estate, ensuring the properties are in pristine condition
  • Maintain an inventory of household supplies
  • Coordinate with vendors, supervise home repairs, and contracted services
  • Manage and organize closets, laundry, linens, and wardrobe care
  • Organizing wardrobes, closets, cabinets, and drawers
  • Maintain files and dates for projects, vendor repairs, and entertainment, create strong household manuals for each property, and maintain
  • Oversee proper care of high-end furnishings, surfaces, and materials
  • Coordinate vehicle maintenance, including the car wash company
  • Maintain organized closets, garages, pantries, and backstock
  • Run errands as needed (Costco, grocery shopping, dry cleaning, returns, etc.)
  • Assist with planning family events, planning, setting up, etc. 
  • Oversee calendars for home maintenance, appointments, and travel prep
  • Assist with traveling, packing, unpacking, and airport runs
  • Support with construction projects during remodeling
  • Assist with guests who are visiting

Childcare Support (Secondary Role):

  • Assist with school pickups/drop-offs and driving to after-school activities on occasion (vehicle provided)
  • Prepare simple meals/snacks and help with occasional light tidying up after the children
  • Collaborate with the nanny team to provide support when needed
  • Be a warm, reliable presence in the children’s lives when parents are unavailable

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum 4+ years professional Household Manager experience required (verifiable references and a strong cover letter are a must)
  • Has experience managing high-end estates with multiple staff
  • Strong organizational skills, keeping up-to-date records/manuals for vendors and home services
  • Presents with confidence, professionalism, discretion, and strong time management skills
  • Comfortable with occasional childcare responsibilities and enjoys being around kids
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, respectful, and an excellent communicator
  • Comfortable managing overlapping needs (home + children) and working with a team
  • Strong driver with a clean record and a reliable vehicle
  • Flexible with scheduling, evenings, holidays, and occasional overnights, and travel will be required
