The Nanny Joynt is honored to represent a dynamic, independent Scottsdale client seeking a highly capable, strong, and dog-loving household manager/personal assistant to support her post-surgical recovery and daily household routines. A proud mother and grandmother, this client is recovering from a serious back injury. Though extremely independent, she is realistic about needing the right kind of help—someone intelligent, proactive, intuitive, and ready to keep up with a full and fast-paced household. Strong cooking skills are needed for this role, you must have experience in creating and cooking healthy meals. 

This is a unique role for a confident, grounded professional who can multitask, maintain high standards, and navigate a direct (and often funny) personality with grace, patience, and strength. 

About the Client:
A vibrant, driven woman who has spent her life running households with precision, energy, and pride. She has had major back surgery and is still in recovery. She can drive, dress herself, and is highly independent—but cannot bend, lift, or carry weight, and needs support with physical tasks, errands, packing, and tech-related tasks.

Pet:
1 Shar Pei (male, 56 lbs) – affectionate and so sweet. You must be comfortable helping with the dog if needed and possibly taking him on walks on occasion. 

Position Details:
Schedule:

  • 5 days/week (Monday–Friday preferred, flexible based on need)
  • Approximately 30–35 hours/week guaranteed
  • Typical hours may include 9:00am–4:00pm or adjusted to support travel, errands, or appointments
  • Term: 3 months to start, with the possibility of extending based on need and fit

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Hourly Rate: $30–$35/hour DOE
  • W2 Position
  • Guaranteed hours, paid sick time, paid vacation, and holidays

Responsibilities:

Household & Personal Support:

  • Some pet care may be needed
  • Helping with grocery shopping, errands, and dry cleaning
  • Light household help (unloading dishwasher, tidying kitchen, taking out trash)
  • Laundry, folding, and simple home organizing
  • Cooking and/meal prep — following recipes or improvising based on preferences
  • Assisting with packing/unpacking before and after travel
  • Assistance with lifting suitcases and organizing items
  • Helping manage appointments, booking travel, and providing light administrative help
  • Tech support (sending emails/texts, reading/responding to messages as directed)
  • Occasional companionship during tasks, being present but respectful of independence 

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Candidate should love dogs
  • Has a thick skin, can handle direct communication
  • Emotionally grounded, calm under pressure, and truly patient
  • Tech-savvy enough to help with texts, email, online forms, and phone use
  • Can cook healthy meals and follow or improvise from recipes
  • Proactive, intuitive, organized, and capable of anticipating needs
  • Can handle lifting and is happy to lend a hand where needed
  • Comfortable being around a busy household and navigating changes with flexibility
  • Must be okay with a client who is direct and wants the best for herself and family 

Client Preferences & Household Style:

  • Maintains a clean and orderly household (cleaning lady comes 3x/week)
  • Very private – no posting, sharing, or discussing the client’s personal life online or elsewhere
  • Trust, discretion, and confidentiality are non-negotiable
  • She appreciates candor and professionalism and wants to maintain her independence
