Exciting New Part Time Nanny/Household Assistant Position

Family Summary:

Nannies, what an amazing family we have here for you!  This family has the sweetest little girls! Their oldest daughter is 6.5 and is focused and bright yet goofy. She is also curious and creative. She loves ballet, swimming and doing arts and crafts.  Their youngest is 5 years old and is strong willed yet sensitive, physical and very sweet. She can be slow to warm up to new people. Both girls enjoy a nanny who is active, playful, loving and very hands on with them each day. This family would love to have a nanny who speaks Spanish, however, this is not a requirement for the position. They are seeking a candidate who is engaging, kind, proactive and understands early childhood development. Their ideal nanny is someone experienced, professional but light hearted, someone who can respect professional boundaries, be very detail-oriented, can think ahead and anticipate needs, is a self-starter and doesn’t not need a lot of direction. You should be really proactive and willing to help with household tasks, be safety-minded, and you should be able to provide mom with support each day. Mom will be working at home in her home office, dad works outside of the home. Their new nanny will pick the girls up from school each day and take them to any activities that are scheduled. Ideally their nanny will be goal oriented and a career nanny who loves her job. They really want their girls to feel loved, someone who is very invested in them and genuinely cares.  The family enjoys open communication and would love for their nanny to be a great communicator as well. Nanny should be dog friendly.

This position is offering $27 – $29 per hour depending on experience with guaranteed hours, paid holidays, paid sick time and paid vacation.

The schedule for this position will be:

• Monday through Friday 12:00pm until  6:00pm (Guaranteed 30 hours per week)
• Nanny will need to be flexible and available to work longer days when the girls are home from school for breaks and summer vacation.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Childcare Related Responsibilities:   

• All comprehensive childcare, healthy snacks and meals
• Engaging, playing, reading, planning activities, taking walks, creating fun activities for them each day
• Helping them meet and exceed all developmental milestones
• Educational age appropriate activities, arts, crafts, being active
• Organizational projects, keeping rooms in order, toys, backpacks etc.
• Being creative and planning and outings

 

Household/Assistant Related Responsibilities:

• Cleaning up after self and children, keeping things organized
• Kitchen, cleaning floor, counters, table
• Load and unload dishwasher
• Taking out trash as needed
• Organizational projects, stocking and letting them know when things are needed
• Errands, grocery store, putting groceries away, returns, dry cleaning, etc. 
• Meal planning and preparation as needed
• Family laundry
• Packing/unpacking for trips
• Family does have a housekeeper

Requirements:

• Experienced with these ages, engaging, proactive, consistent

• Being able to be in the pool with the girls is important 
• Ability to take initiative and create activities
• Maintaining health and safety at all times
• Love experiencing and teaching new things
• Honesty and open communication, hard worker, ability to work well with little supervision, mom does not like to micromanage
• Professional, loyal, loving, hands-on, nurturing, team player
• No cell phone or electronic use while with the girls or driving! 

Considerations:  

• COVID-19: This family does NOT require the Covid vaccine
• Length of Commitment: One year to start, ideally long term
• Pets: 1 year old Boxer who is an active part of their family. You must be comfortable with dogs as some pet care will be needed. Taking on walks, feeding, giving water, playing with him.
