Family Summary:

Nannies, we are thrilled to be working with this amazing and deeply caring family!  Their sweet baby boy was born in October 2022 and is just adorable!  He is very sweet and is very curious about the world around him!  He enjoys being engaged and loves to experience new things. Broadly, this family is a group of homebodies, loves an impromptu dance session, appreciates a neat and tidy space to relax and feel comfortable in, treats everyone in their home like a member of their family, and cares deeply for anyone who cares for their son. Dad travels a fair bit for work (a not-so-fun characteristic of his demanding work schedule) and mom works full-time from home (currently on maternity leave through April). The family also has a 90-lb rescue Labrador  who is equally goofy and loving. He will lick, sniff and cuddle you as long as he can tell you like it too! The family is going to be so wonderful to work alongside, they always go above and beyond, and are happy to provide references of folks they’ve worked with in the past (all of whom have been long-term).

Summary:

This family currently has an NCS that would love to stay for up to a year, but the family would really love to add a career nanny to their inner circle for the long term (several years or more). They are looking for someone who actively engages with their son each day, sings to him, reads to him, and creates age- appropriate activities etc. Both in and outside of the house. They are seeking a candidate who has had positive, long-term relationships with prior families, recent experience with infants, is loving, kind, proactive and understands all developmental stages of children in his age group and beyond. Their ideal nanny is trustworthy, professional, a great communicator, detail-oriented and tidy. You should be able to think ahead and anticipate needs for their son.  You should be safety-minded, have a lot of infant experience and you should be able to provide this family with support and feedback when it comes to their child. As the family doesn’t have any other immediate family in Arizona, they need someone who is responsible, reliable, on time and mature as requirements for this position. They need someone in the home that can support them and their son on a daily basis. You should have a warm personality, they really want their child to feel loved, someone who is very invested in their family and genuinely cares. They are very excited to welcome their new nanny into their home!

 

 

This position is offering $25 – $28 per hour with guaranteed hours, paid vacation, paid sick time and paid holidays, mileage reimbursement. 

The schedule for this position will be:

• Monday through Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
• Guaranteed 45 hours per week with paid over time
• Some flexibility in the schedule may be needed at times
• Some weekend availability would be ideal
• Desire to travel with the family is a plus

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Childcare Related Responsibilities:   

• All comprehensive child care
• Driving to and from activities as he gets older
• Reading, singing, tummy time, appropriate activities
• Being active, fun, playful, kind and nurturing
• Engaging, playing, reading, planning activities, taking walks
• Helping him meet and exceed all developmental milestones
• Rotating toys weekly, working on development
• Children’s laundry, linens, wash, dry, put away

 

Household/Assistant Related Responsibilities:

• Cleaning up after self and child
• Washing bottles, child’s dishes etc
• Kitchen, cleaning high chair, floor, wiping counters daily
• Load and unload dishwasher
• Taking out trash if needed
• Changing/emptying diaper pail as needed
• Meal prep for family would be wonderful 2-3 nights per week
• Running errands as needed, grocery shopping
• Organizational projects, letting family know when things are needed 
• General help around the home as needed

• Limited cell phone or electronic use around child 

Considerations:  

• COVID-19: This family prefers their nanny to be vaccinated for Covid 19, TDAP and Flu
• Length of Commitment: Very long term 3+ years, only apply if you are seeking a long term commitment
• Some overnights and travel will be needed for this family
• Pets: One 90lbs Lab who is indoor/outdoor. Very lovable and fun. Some pet care will be needed, letting in and out, feeding, giving water, taking walks.
