Family Summary:

The Nanny Joynt is so happy to share with you this wonderful new full time position with two fun and active boys!  This family is seeking a career nanny with recent experience with these age groups. Their oldest son is 6 years old and in kindergarten. He is a very easy little boy, he was and always has been a “sweet boy.” He is emotionally driven and wants to make people happy. He has the biggest heart! He likes to draw, and enjoys being interacted with on his level. He is also very allergic to dogs, their hair and dander so their new nanny needs to be aware of this and be able to assure the family they will not bring dog hair and dander into their home.  Their younger son is almost 3 years old and is boisterous, vibrant, and animated. He loves everything! He enjoys something for a few minutes then on to the next thing. He loves the gym, reading, and being active. He is very independent and wants to do everything on his own, but is so much fun to be with each day. Both boys are full of energy and the nanny must be active and energetic. Nannies, this family is seeking a nanny who is FUN, loving and very engaging when they are with the kids! They would really like someone who is very excited to be with the boys each day and really enjoys playing with them. You should be patient, organized, responsible, self-driven, a team player and happy to jump in and help out where needed. It’s also very important that you are intuitive and adaptable to age appropriate transitions the children are experiencing. A nanny who will respect their privacy and use discretion is required. Mom and Dad are both very busy professionals and will be in and out of the house during the day. They want their nanny to feel comfortable taking care of the children and feel like part of the family. Both parents are very hands on and really appreciate having a nanny to help them with their sweet boys!

This position is offering $25-$28 per hour with guaranteed hours, paid vacation, paid holidays and paid sick time. Mileage reimbursement or possible use of the family car.

The schedule for this position will be:

• Monday  9:00am – 6:00pm
• Tuesday 9:00am – 6:00pm
• Wednesday 9:00am – 7:00pm
• Thursday 9:00am – 6:00pm
• Friday 9:00am – 6:00pm
• 46 hours per week with overtime pay
• Date nights would be ideal

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Childcare Related Responsibilities:   

• Full comprehensive care of the children –  meals, snacks, cleaning up
• Driving to and from school as needed, the school 25 minutes from their home so nanny must be comfortable with driving
• Getting children ready for school
• Potty training their toddler
• Homework help, projects, etc. 
• Breakfast, packing lunches, snacks, all meals
• Coming up with and planning things to do with the kids during the day 
• Educational activities, reading, crafts, sports, play, super engaging
• Outings and activities are highly encouraged 
• Help with packing/unpacking for trips
• Maintaining the children’s areas and ensuring all items are stocked and organized

 

Household Related Responsibilities:

• Cleaning up after self and children

• Loading and unloading the dishwasher, dishes
• Help with family laundry
• Taking out the trash/recycling as needed
• Keeping home tidy and organized, organizational projects  
• Making beds, tidying rooms
• Meal prep
• Light housekeeping
• Cleaning up the toys and child areas each day

Considerations:  

• COVID-19: This family does NOT require the Covid-19 vaccine
• Length of Commitment: Very long term
• Travel, overnights and weekends will be needed every 3 to 4 months. $85 per night for overnights will be paid to the nanny. 
• Pets: No pets in the home – son is severely allergic to dogs. Their new nanny must not bring dog hair or dander into the home.
