The Nanny Joynt is excited to partner with this amazing professional, active family in order to help them find a highly experienced live in estate manager! This person should be experienced in the management of the day-to-day operations of a large, private estate. This candidate should be a self-starter, detail-oriented, proactive and able to provide exceptional service in an efficient manner. Long term commitment is ideal. There will be regimented daily, weekly, and monthly routines along with as needed, daily duties. This candidate will be willing to live on site in a private residence located on the 8 acre property. 

Detailed Position Description:  NOTE: ALL applicants must meet the following requirements!

  • 3-5 years experience working in larger, high-end homes as household manager
  • Excellent references from current and previous employers
  • long term positions with pervious employers of 3+ years
  • Flexible scheduling with the ability to work nights and weekends as needed
  • Non-fixed days off (although can be scheduled in advanced)
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Legal to work in the United States
  • Able to pass an extensive background check

The position is generously offering $70,000 – $90,000+ per year to start depending on experience and skill set! Guaranteed hours, PTO, paid holidays!!! This is an amazing opportunity for a seasoned household manager!!! This family is generous and fabulous to work with. It is a fully staffed home so it is imperative that you be a strong team player.

Job Requirements:

  • Live in is REQUIRED – No Pets allowed as this is a pet free home
  • Live in quarters include a private studio with a private kitchen, full bath, patio, and large closet.  It is attached to the main home, but has a private entrance.
  • Open to a professional domestic couple
  • Home security and family safety mindset
  • Privacy and confidentiality paramount
  • Excellent driver w/ability to drive large SUV for errands and family pick-up and drop-off
  • Must have experience working with other staff
  • Must be able to do some housekeeping
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Must speak English and have good communication skills
  • Care for fine furniture, art, and antiques
  • Management and organization of closets, pantries, etc
  • Oversee all vendors and contractors in and around the residence
  • Ability to anticipate the needs of the family (as you become familiar with them)
  • Oversight of landscapers for an 8 acres of grounds and gardens
  • Complete oversight of principal’s home; maintaining consistency of standards, procedures, and services
  • Contact, screen, propose, and oversee vendors. Compare multiple bids and track budget
  • Negotiate and manage contracts, supervise work, and review invoices
  • Supervise and coordinate onsite activities and provide day-to-day direction of onsite staff
  • Prepare realistic plan to address needs and conduct regular walk-through of daily and weekly checklists
  • Order and maintain household supply inventories: cleaning supplies, beverages, snacks, etc
  • Organize, package, ship, and receive deliveries and packages for household and principals
  • Maintain and update household manuals
  • Greet guests
  • Oversee all events and dinner parties
  • Possess a hands-on attitude and provide service when staff or vendors cannot
  • Handle any special requests, duties, or errands
